Thanks, Wile E, I kept forgetting I was so lame as to start this thread in the first place. The thing was twofold. First, some manner of beverage spilled on the “6” button the remote. Indeed I had ascertained this quickly, but it didn’t account for the thing’s continued return to the channel even after I removed the batteries. What did, however, was the fact that I had not ever in fact changed the channel, but actually caused the TiFaux to begin playing a program. I didn’t notice the thing was on the recorded menu and not the channel menu. So, the program kept ending and the box reverting to the last channel it was on, 666.
I did not write this under duress. There is no large red man with horns who is way less sexy than Tim Curry standing behind me right now. But if there was, he’d want you to know that inre the whole Fall thing, he was framed.
What’s wrong with the ENCORE channel? 
They are currently doing a John Wayne Centennial.
John Wayne was born on May 26, 1907. Doesn’t sound strange to me.
