My Cup Runneth Over - A Stanley Cup MMP

Small artichokes for dinner. I had butter with mine, and Wifey had mayonnaise with hers. I could eat another one, but I don’t want to take the time to cook it. So I’m making a burger patty.

One of my former commanding officers—the worst—was just convicted of conspiracy to commit bribery, receiving bribes, conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud, and obstruction of justice:

It’s a good day in the MMP.

The boat ride was very tame, as it turns out. Saw some dear wading the river, a mature bald eagle and a bunch of what I assumed were red-tailed hawks. On the way back, we stopped at a roadside store that had a bunch of bird feeders outside. There were downy woodpeckers, starlings, red-winged blackbirds and many more I couldn’t identify. A good day had by all.

Good grief. That took awhile to get through the courts.

cookie It sounds like a fun day.

Captain Queeg: "Don’t stop the belt, just let the motor box catch any letters that slip through
dogbutler’s internal voice: “WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?”
dogbutler’s external voice: “That is not ideal”
Oy. But I have a warm cat in my lap, and a cold gin and tonic in my hand.

Wow. that remind sme of the opening of this:

:open_mouth: :grimacing: :scream: :sob:

Me too.

Oh, dear, the starter fireworks are getting going. Yeah, that’s gonna be great for my anxiety.

I don’t own physical copies of many of my fav movies, but Heavy Metal is in my small, select collection. The Reanimator is there too.

I have had Filipino beer. They seem to like bitter tasting, weak beer. Probably because they needed something to wash the kimchee heat down. ETA that kimchee is great in small doses. I am not dissing kimchee at all.

We’ve been having a nice monsoon. The rain drops are running down the window screen in my room. GG has been trying to catch one for the last hour. VBC is starting to look annoyed at the constant batting on the glass, so she’ll probably do something soon.

I’m praying you get some rain too, shoe. That helps stop the yahoos from being outside.

(bewildered look) Kimchee is Korean, isn’t it? (Not that I know a lot about Korean food, and the most I know about Filipino food is Jollibee or lumpia.)

It is Korean, but all the Filipinos I knew in the military ate it like there was no tomorrow. Of course, their favorite beer was Kirin which was Japanese. I do remember drinking Filipino beer that had been smuggled onto a carrier plane. I didn’t think it was worth the bother, but it must have been for them.

Speaking of wars and such, how are things going in your place. I was kinda hoping that once they had bonded over the evil landscapers that peace would rule.

:man_zombie: :heartbeat:

It is. But the Philippines is a blend of cultures, so it would surprise me that it’s big there.

My DVD collection is somewhat large. Both of these are in it.

I write fan letters. I have always gotten answers and often they came from the person I was fangirling on.

Jeffrey Combs AKA Dr Herbert West confessed to me that the scene in the Bride where he was on the floor and the the hawt blond girl in fishnet stockings and short leather dress was kicking him was the hardest one he had ever done. He was laying on the floor looking up at those luscious legs and black panties and just couldn’t bring himself to squirm away.

One of us! One of us!

I have that too.

Wonders about writing a fangirl letter to flyboy

We’re still at Buddy wanting to make friends and Allie wanting none of it. They’ll both sleep on the bed if I’m there too, but Allie’s sulking because Buddy grabbed her preferred windowsill spot earlier and I heard a hiss a few hours later after we all got up, for indeterminate reasons (didn’t see who did what to who).

Poor Buddy. They might not ever get there. Steve, AKA The Best Cat in the World so wanted to be friends with Very Bad Cat and she was having nothing to do with him. He would sneak up onto hub’s reclined legs and lap when VBC wasn’t looking and she would tell him off if one of his hairs got close enough to touch her.

I sometimes get a little weepy thinking about TBC when I see VBC and GG cuddled up. He deserved better than dying young of a preventable disease. He came pre-loaded with FIV, which is always fatal. FIV is mostly a STD, litter boxes have to be really bad for transmission to happen that way, so he wasn’t a risk to our other cats.

Up, cafeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave.

Poor Buddy. I’ve never had to do a multi cat household. Although when Nelly K. Beagle came back from her walkabout, the first day she and Gordie were together, she took the Kong, and when he went to get it back, chomped him on the nose.

hey I have a question did you use to go to a blog called mid-century menu? I ask because someone posted a comment after one of the recipe experiments with your board name and now I’m wondering lol

Yes, I did. I’m still subscribed via Patreon.
