My Cup Runneth Over - A Stanley Cup MMP

Howdy all. Another big gardening day today. We planted all the tomatoes in a new in ground bed-90 plants. I don’t expect them all to make it. Also built a new long bed 3’ X 32’ against the west fence and two corner beds in the corners of the fence and one more in the middle of that fence. The two corners and the small middle ones are going to have elephant ears in them. The other big one will be perrinials that should arrive tomorrow. The first big long bed will be bulbs. I have gladiolus, Lillie’s, caladiums and others, all these beds are in the ground. We amended the soil with some black cow type stuff. I spent $100 on a cheap electric tiller and it has been a godsend. It’s paid for itself in saved back aches.

Now I just have to wait for all this to grow and bloom.

Hot as hell here. Miserable being out there. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow all day and I hope that happens. The ceiling project continues and tomorrow should be the last of the messy part leaving only painting and cleanup.

Stay healthy everyone.

Way to go you guys, Buttercup!

I thought I was over my fear of moths. I mean, I can kill them now, whereas I used to run and cower in a dark room until someone came along who was, you know, normal. I got home from the store, though, and felt something on my arm. Eek! A big, black moth! I brushed it off and was putting away my purchases in the other room when EEK! He crawled from under my shirt! Much screaming and shedding of clothing ensued. I’m fully clothed again, but now I feel invisible moths crawling on me. Just as bad, [cue organ music of doom] HE’S SOMEWHERE IN THE HOUSE! I need an exorcist with a fly swatter.

That sounds like a gorgeous flower bed, butters! Post pics when it blooms, please.

doggio, a cat (or small dog) in your lap and a G&T can make a bad day bearable.

Poor GG! You’re good to make sure he doesn’t feel abandoned.

Your flower beds sound gorgeous butters!

Irked, took Nelson to the dog park, et and am now chilling for five days! Not a whole lot planned other than an organization project in the studio and the usual weekend chores.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

The Team Room was fun, although it turned out to be very Christian, which was unexpected. The food was good and the tea was good. I managed to get myself out of there without buying the cute little teapot and tea cup set that I found, which is a win. It was cute though.

Zorro is feeling comfortable enough to yell his little head off if he’s left alone for too long. He’s very small, so it sounds like Horton’s friends trying their best to make a racket. squeak I still think Mouse would have been a good name for the little guy. Alas, I have been over-ruled. Woe.

Is also a fan!

It was pretty funny. Hugs is so used to working around GG and complaining that this morning, he was working around where GG and his chair would be even though GG was curled up in a different room.

And here is one of the many reasons we love you so much!

That was JUST what I was thinking!

Adds my request for pics. I let one of my raised beds do what it wanted this year and ended up with catnip, 4 o’clocks and a bird planted sunflower that is ready to go to seed. I took a pic but our internet is not good and i can’t download it now.

We made our way to the dispensary via the 2 Brothers diner and I had their Mediterranean Benedict which wasn’t bad. The direct route was the I17 and we could sure tell a long weekend was coming cause traffic was heavy and impatient. Being retired is good, we can avoid being out when things are a mess.

FINALLY got the grands down. Tobias fought valiantly, but I won. Roxy came out after about 15 minutes asking how long she had to sleep. Sheesh! Hope they both sleep thru the night.

I’m having some medicinal ice cream. Having kids is only for the young…

I mowed the weeds, and clocked 0.55 miles doing it. Then I pulled gorram horsetails (I think their scientific name is U. Kannagetridodum) and other weeds – including blackberries. Then I sprayed the areas I cleaned with Roundup until I ran out. Soaked with sweat, I took another shower.

The Spousal Unit had popcorn (and probably yoghurt) for dinner. She was eating the popcorn when I came in from the yard.

Three chicken breast tenderloins in the toaster oven. A paltry few broccoli florets waiting.

Napped, did a load of laundry. Dinner was Italian Chicken with orzo, and salad.

I’d convert!

Today was a martini and a cat. With a large dog at my feet.

Goo really liked the chicken. I only put Lawry’s seasoned salt and paprika on. I liked it too.

Happy Thorsday!

Nice morning at the park. It was in the 60s and quite a few dogs showed up.
Echo showed her ass a little with Jackson, no idea why. . Lucy dad left and went over to the small side when Barky and Humpy showed up. Barky wasn’t so bad, there were lots of dogs there to keep her busy. A new one came in and I was trying to figure out what it was. It looked a lot like a basenji, only too big. It is a
potcake
Nice looking dog, very playful, but needed to be put in his place a few times. Also had a fit about leaving, took his dad a bit of time to catch him.
BTDT, and is why I carry a pocket full of bribes.

triple points for if you were nude with pretzel wrapped around the appropriate spots and you were eating the biggest apple you can find …

Evening all. Got 1:45 hours bicycling in and also did banking, took a nap, and ate out (Walhburgers), which for me is a pretty full day. The Great July Shopping Trip is on for tomorrow, probably mostly at Kroger but maybe a stop at Publix too.

Still no rain, maybe tomorrow.

Sari, interesting about the potcake. Much thanks.

nellie, it’s spiders with me, moths never seem to have bothered me, but hope you can chase the critter out of your house.

Butters, I’m not a planter, but sounds like it’ll be real nice around your place.

I pay real money to see that…even better with Jehovah Witnesses…

Everybody have a good night (or for our Euro Mumpers, a good morning) and I’ll catch y’all in July.

My pic finally downloaded.

Potcakes are pretty cute, the description makes them seem like good pets.

nellie ff you don’t have any moth food (they tend to like specific flowers) in your home, the moth will be dead in the morning.

Interwebs are still being weird. It looks like we are getting another storm in a couple of hours at which time things will get worse.

Almost forgot the posy pic, the lattice covered area is the back end of the catio.

amazon can shove its self up its own ass sideways… that is all

Also forgot to show how pretty catnip flowers are: (I think I mentioned my visit to the dispensary, you guys can figure it out from there.)

It appears you are upset. I’m all about supporting mad friends and ranting with them, but I do need to know why I’m doing it. Anyhow, a hearty fuck you and cane wack to anyone who makes you mad.

ok i live in a valley thats in the somewhat middleish in the desert the house cooler isn’t working and since we’ve been in the process of moving out for oh 3 years we don’t wanna piss off the landlords So We order this expensive room cooler off of amazon that was supposed to be here Wednesday

It might not get here until Saturday the first delay is the nearest warehouse near us didn’t have any so they had to ship one in from Timbuktu middle America and it would be here today by 10pm … .well while I was watching the arrival screen to make sure it didn’t get dropped off somewhere else (which has happened before) the date changed to “be here when it feels like it before Sunday” its been 105 since Saturday

I HATE it when that happens. It never happens with something we can wait for, it’s always something we want right away. Do you have fans? I’ve found they can help some. Be sure to drink a whole lot of water, it will help you sweat which cools you as well.

Oh, wait, you are female, right? Well drink a lot of water and glow your ass off.

Swmp cooler?

Our new coffee pot doesn’t work right. (Clock doesn’t work.) Mr. Coffee is sending a newer one, which should arrive Saturday. I have a shipping label to return the defective unit to the seller.
