Hey Otto. I went through this a couple of years ago.
My dad, before he died of cancer, stated that: “Heh - people live, people die.” I’m not trying to detract from your sadness or loss, but my dad’s own brave words, in the face of his demise, are inspirational to me.
Life is brief, cyclical, and predictable.
My thoughts are with you.
I hope that you can find comfort in your memories of your father who loved you, and in the care of those others who have known and loved you both, and in the affection and regard of those who know and love you now.

March 16 will be the one-year anniversary of my mom’s death. I still break down about once a week.

Otto, I know what it feels like.
I lost both my parents about 15 months ago.
I hope you don’t mind me mentioning it, but I found grief counselling very helpful (I’m still getting it now).
That is a big pile of suck. I can completely empathise.
