Yay!
Based on how she’s acted so far, she’s not likely to approve it until someone forces her to. Staying positive is good; planning for reality is good, too.
Sounds like you have an excellent lawyer there, she’s doing a great job!
A quick update…
We were supposed to have a status hearing this week but her lawyer got it continued until Dec 13. She still has not approved the proposal the lawyers came up with in September.
There was a for sale sign in front of the house for 1 day but it’s down now. Hopefully it will go back up once she’s back in the country (she’s off visiting Mr. Online again).
I’m pissed and angry and worn out and ready to do anything to get this over with.
Oh, dear. I know it’s hard as hell to continue to be patient when someone is jerking you around and there isn’t much you can do about it, but it sounds like you’re doing all the right things, and the legal system will get tired of her bullshit eventually. I wish I could offer you some better advice or some way of making her do the right thing, but all I can offer you is sympathy and encouragement to scrape together all the patience you can find.
What a drawn out nightmare for you. Thanks for keeping us updated.
I’m so sorry you have to go through all this, but it’ll be worth it in the end. You know that old joke:
Q: Why are divorces so expensive?
A: Because they’re worth it.
Whatever happens, know that it will all be worth it to get as far away from this bitch as humanly possible. Then she’ll be Mr. Online’s problem. Bwahahahahahahahaha!
We’re with you, man.
Sending good thoughts your way, especially with selling the house.
Please hang in there and let your lawyer do what’s right for you, don’t concede anything. {{{ cell guy }}}
