Tim Johnson, D-SD, may be in trouble, in which case the Republican Governor would appoint a replacement to serve until 2008. My best wishes to him and his family. This cannot be easy to deal with, especially with media vultures talking about the Senate possibly returning to Republican control.

Still not clear, at this date, whether there will be a House floor vote on ordering a new Buchanan-Jennings election in Sarasota, FL (see 3 posts above).
