How about the 3 men that decided my old teammate and drinking buddies tackle was too hard during todays football match and took it upon themselves to kick him to death after the match?
I mean, as if it wasn’t enough to give him a beating, the 3 of you obviously felt it was such a terrible challenge the only way to get him back was to leave his children without a father, hise wife without a husband not to mention his family and friends.
I only wish I was there, knew who you were or that the UK had the death penalty. If we find you, we will take an eye for an eye.
More than anything I hope you walk free from what is sure to be a manslaughter trial so we know who you are.
I commiserate with your fury–as much as any stranger can–but threatening someone with active harm is still a no-no. The regs about this are discussed in a sticky at the top of the forum, and it’s covered in the registration agreement as well.

I couldn’t help it, all I could think of was his kids at home wondering why their dad hasn’t came from his ‘friendly’ game of football. That was actually the previewed and then edited version of the post. Sorry about the wishing harm but it’s pissed me off like I haven’t been in a long time.
Does anybody else hit the keys really hard when they’re angry?
This is one of the reasons I no longer play Sunday football - a few people I know have been threatened in the car park after a match because of a stray tackle or heated exchange of words.
Proper fucked up matey - hope they catch the scum soon.
From what I’ve heard today, I think they were actually arrested not too long after for assualt as the man didn’t die until later at home. I’m not 100% sure though.
If they have already caught the people who did it why are they still asking for tips?
And, though they didn’t mention the amount, I’m amazed that they got out on bail. People who kill for absolutely no reason are far worse to have running around in public… “Oh, you’ll cut me in line? Then I’ll cut you!!!”
Eye witnesses can be very helpful in establishing motive, state of mind, viciousness of the attack, and in moving a charge from something like involuntary manslaughter to manslaughter or murder… if the thugs were overheard yelling things like “we’re going to kill you” then the defense can’t necessarily hang its hat on “they were caught up in the moment, please forgive them.” And of course here in certain areas of the US, yelling racial/religious/sexual remarks while committing a crime can get additional charges tacked on.
Ooops… forgot one other thing. If the eye witnesses can pin the majority of the attack on one of these psychos, the prosecution can try to get the other two to plead down in exchange for their cooperation in getting a stiffer sentence on the ringleader.
So yeah, additional information/tips can be very useful.
