Yay for the graduation news, Al! That sounds truly excellent.
Without having read the MMP, I bought a lottery ticket when I went to buy milk. I buy one maybe twice a year, only when I go to the DairyMart (or whatever it’s called these days) to get milk. MMP-Fest if I win. (Yeah, like that’s likely.)

Hope you found all your stuff and got settled back in, Puggy.
I so don’t miss grading. Periodically have to do similar tasks at work (evaluate proposals and do performance reviews), but they’re always short-term things with really specific criteria, so they’re somehow less painful. My least favorite things to grade were essays. Yuck.
Reading everyone’s posts made me think of all the people who have influenced me. Mom, definitely, because she raised my brother and me by herself after my Dad died (we were toddlers). She’s sometimes an anti-influence because she’d really like for me to have been a princess with a slew of retainers and a husband to take care of me, but I think that what she actually did (a little bit of everything) influenced me more. To me, it’s much more fun to be in charge of my life and be able to do lots of things on my own. Does that make any sense?
Then there were several teachers along the way, my dad’s mom (I’m ornery like she was), former bosses and colleagues, and several of my former roommates.
I’m home and have continued the laundry. Need to finish reading one more notebook for work; I started it earlier and didn’t finish it. Also need to open my book club book, which I predict I won’t finish for our meeting later this week. (But maybe it’ll be a fast read; it’s not terribly long.)
Guess I should scout out some dinner (which reminds me: hi scout!).
Back later - hi to all I missed.
Stuff I forgot: I second the sauce request, FCM. And, now that I’ve seen **swampy’s ** post: Poooooooor, ACBG.
