Not me. I’m willing to share. I’m all generous like that.
I just found out I was selected for the EMT-B(asic) class that I signed up for during the search class last week. This class starts next Tuesday…
thakns, db, but the pics are for the new cool kids, as a way of encouraging them to post pics of their pets.
here is a whole buncha pics of Smokey
Rebo and swampy (and anyone else who has one) - email me (it’s in my profile) from your JigZone page and invite me to be your buddy. Then I will do the same.
that link doesn’t work
I’ve posted pictures but I can’t get them to be in an accessible album like everyone else has. What am I doing wrong?
Mr. SCL is already in bed. I wish I could sleep for 10 hours at a stretch like he does.
Off to scrounge for dinner…
I don’t know. did you upload them starting from this page?
Click on one of your puzzles, then hit the “back” button. You should now see all your pics. Copy that URL and paste it here for us to link to
Back from dinner - service was sloooooooooooooow, so much so that the manager comped us one dinner, so we got out of there cheap. But it was disappointing. Oh well, I still didn’t have to do dishes. And Scruffy didn’t pee or poo in the house while we were out. So winners all around!!
I still need to pack my lunch for tomorrow. Then off to bed.
Oh yeah, I know how to whoop it up, don’t I?
<insert yawn here>
you can make up for it on the weekend - after all, everyone really gets a full week to party for their birthday, that way everyone gets a weekend.
gt, I, er, well, JigZone? No? Ok, ok, I’m working on it. I’ve gotten some good stuff down for previous jobs, it’s just this last one I’m having trouble with. I don’t suppose a nice AC or Pretty Princess story would be appropriate there? I think I’m going to need to hook up the printer, so I can literally cut and paste things together.
I had Cream of Wheat and faux sausages for dinner. (Those count as vegetables AND protein, the package says so!) And peanut butter cup ice cream for dessert. Does anyone else add milk to their ice cream, or is that just my grandfather’s weird, yet tasty, idea?
I am testing the instant email function - to see if I can get around the block at work
Nothing.
It may not work if I post - please someone post something.
I’m posting something!
We did hip slide hip kick and layered medium walking hip circles with 3/4 shimmy.
Just for MBG. And another. I think they’re squee-worthy. Don’t scroll down that first page if you have clown-phobia.
Whoa … a whole lotta posts! First, a happy birthday (nearly belated! LOL) to FCM; sorry about your dinner, but at least you didn’t have to do the dishes! Scruffy is cute … I’m afraid to ask, though - what about Bernie? Who is Scruffy? I ask this tentatively, realizing I may have missed something in last weeks post.
Sean, that does look like a good cake, I’ll have to try that in my crock pot for sure! Kaiwik, hope your flare-up calms soonest; my daughter has eczema, so we’re well acquainted with flare-ups.
Everyone talking about KFC, but no-one mentions Popeyes! laughs Okay, my son works for Popeyes; his job is cooking the chicken. So next time you’re at a Popeyes, think of my son who does a pretty decent job cooking their chicken … at least, for the outlet in Chillum MD.
In class. I only went to one class. I would have edited and added the ‘in class’ bit, but my edit time expired.
I’m happy- the healthfood store across from work is looking into ordering Larabars (thanks, WhyNot!) and I’ll be able to order boxes of them. They’re yummy and nutritious. Which reminds me that I’ve got to defrost something yummy and nutritious for Mr. Lissar’s lunch.
I take it back.
Robitussen is doing jack for this cough. It seemed to help at first, but it didn’t last. I knew I shoulda stuck with Buckley’s. Even if it doesn’t help the cough medicinally, it’ll sure scare the bajeebers out of it.
If this keeps up, I may have to call in sick tomorrow. If it gets much worse, I’ll have to call in dead.
I think my threats and bravado have only served to anger it.
In other news, I have tea. Nice, hot tea.
Tea is good.
Mr. Lissar still has his terrible cold, too. He’s medicating with hard cider and tea.
I am preventing colds by drinking cider right now. It seems to be effective. So is this anti-tiger stone in my pocket.
Maybe I should go to bed.
*** awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!***
I don’t know what it’ll do for a cough, but my favorite sore throat calmer is hot lemonade. You can make it as sweet and/or as lemony as you like. Works better with honey than with sugar. You can squeeze fresh lemons if you have the patience, but bottled works fine. And the “not from concentrate” stuff works better than the “reconstituted” kind. I like mine real sweet and real lemony. The sweet and the hot water make a syrup, which always makes a sore throat feel better, and the lemon helps break up the yucky phlegm. Try adding some lime juice too
Ah, yes, I feared there would be problems with the non-standard measurements… what can I say, nobody I know uses “teaspoons”. It’s, uhm, somewhat less than a spoonful, poured onto the tomato purée following a spiral: that way it mixes better when you stir it in than if you just dump it in one place.
The best way to keep garlic is in a dark but ventilated place. You can use cloves that have started to grow a stem.
So many posts, so little time! Welcome, gonnastay! What is that supposed to mean, you’re just passing by? You’re not allowed to!
Thanks to all those people who sent their winter back to Switzerland and Germany. Everything looks very white, very fluffy and very pretty, but I fear I’ll have chillblains tomorrow. I took the train instead of driving and missed my stop, so I had to wait one hour for the bus :smack: What drives me nuts is that one, I was told I’d be working in Switzerland but going to work to Germany “occasionally” and when I asked if it wouldn’t make more sense to get my apartment in Germany and get hired by the German location (no coin exchanges, no need for a work permit), got a resonant “nein”. Instead, I’m coming to Germany almost every day, although I can go days without having a conversation so I don’t think my physical presence is so important, it’s just that these people have no concept of telecommuting. And the Swiss office is 300yd from my place: no chillblains! pout pout pout pout pout! I hate chillblains. Will buy arnica tonight at any of the five pharmacists within 100yd of my house
Our weather forecaster was this morning talking about this white fluffy snow stuff but we haven’t got any here. Today it’s bright and sunny but very cold, and it was frosty overnight so the pavements are slippery. Walking down the road to catch the bus this morning was fun…
I was very good last night and went to the gym, helped along by my shiny new MP3 player which has loads of good exercising music on it (basically anything that’s not the whining git r’n’b stuff they have on the cable channel in the gym) so the hour passed by relatively painlessly.
Afterwards I got home in time for a shower before the veg man turned up, then had to think of something to cook for dinner. I settled on faux sausages, mashed sweet n.o.T and peas. It was very nice but didn’t exactly lend itself to leftovers so I have nothing for lunch today. That means I have to brave the ravening hordes and visit the Uni sammidge shop later. I think I might slope off early before lectures finish at 12, that way I can avoid the skinnywhippets debating how many calories there are in a couple of lettuce leaves between two slices of bread.
As it’s Wednesday and therefore halfway to the weekend, I’m off to the pub tonight with some friends - haven’t decided which one to patronise tonight but it might well be the Station at Codsall which is a Holden’s pub so there should be a couple of their new “Saints and Sinners” beers on. I expect it’ll be “Flo Jangles” again as that’s the January brew but you never know, they might just have some of the other favourites around.
Bother! Why isn’t it hometime yet?
