Flowers, that is. I have some planted in the front yard, facing NW, and they have been blooming and re-blooming and then double-blooming since December. I live in San Francisco, and this year the weather has been very wet and not particularly warm (for San Francisco). I guess these bulbs think it is just a very prolonged spring in New Hampshire or somewhere.
It’s not just the irises. Something thinks it’s spring in New Hampshire this weekend and my nose has run non-stop for two days, with sneezing every few minutes despite being on Flonase and Claritin. Sigh.
Two days ago, the temperature hit 78. In Cleveland, in February. We’ve got bulb flowers already starting to come up, which are going to suddenly be very confused when (if?) winter actually resumes.
I saw my first jonquils in bloom today while walking to the coffee shop.
