My little game for those not watching the Super Bowl

Still have no score here, either. Although last night the guy who delivered our dinner around 8:00 or so said that it wasn’t going well for team X. I think he said they had one more quarter or period or something, but he didn’t look too hopeful. Since we live in the home town of one team, I suspect it was our guys losing, but I don’t know for sure.

Since I don’t actually talk to anyone who’s a sports fan, and it’s not on Yahoo’s front page, I’m very unlikely to ever learn the exact score.

I still don’t know who won, but I know who lost.

No idea here. I didn’t even know who was playing/played in it until I skimmed this thread just now. Has it occurred to anyone that we may not be able to declare a winner? Anyone who doesn’t find out before the end of the general public’s immediate interest in the topic may never know.

I find that oddly comforting.

I watched it up to half-time. Then I went to bed.

I still don’t know who won (though I know who should have won!).

I live in the UK, so you ought to penalise me somehow.
Although we get American Football games here on TV, it’s not big in the press or other media.

The first time I watched the Superbowl, a chap named Riggins ran in a lot of touchdowns for the Washington Redskins.

I think **Equipoise **and I should tie for the win, as we remain ignorant despite living in the home town of one of the teams. We’ve got our blinders on extra tight, apparently!

I’m still in the running, but it just occurred to me that I’ll probably drop out before 9 pm ET, because I usually watch Countdown. I have a hard time imagining that former sports reporter Keith Olbermann will go the whole hour without mentioning the game. Oh, well.

Who won.

I saw the score on the times front page…but didnt remember who won. I checked to be sure if it said but I honestly only recalled the numbers. I only just found out today the names of the teams that played but still have no idea what city they’re from.

good grief, no wonder my co-workers make fun of me in regards to sports stuff.

I have no idea who won. I didn’t even know who played until I read this thread. Guess I’m still in the running.

Well, when I found that Alison Stewart was hosting Countdown in place of Keith tonight, I had a little hope that I might make it through the hour. But at 8:28 she mentioned the winner in the Oddball segment.

Good luck to everyone who’s still in the running.

I also thought the Colts was a Baltimore team. Apparently they moved to Indianapolis in 1983.

My browser home page showed the score this morning. Nobody mentioned it at work, though.

I managed to make it till 9 PM Eastern today.

Then someone mentioned a related news story, which gave it away. [Edit - In fact, I think it may have been the same story commasense mentioned. I bet it was.]

I made it until either 6:51 am or 7:02 am today, depending. I figured it out from the context of the conversation on the radio when I got in the car at 6:51 am, but they didn’t actually name the losing team until 7:02 am.

I just saw the results a few minutes ago on Google News. As of 7:24 p.m. EST, I’m out.

around 11:30 PM central time… watching The Daily Show (TiVoed) from Monday.
