Catalina, the maid, wan’t even in this episode. Hope they aren’t writing her out.
I loved that line - mainly because my son’s been doing the same thing when I play RENT in the car .
I thought last night was great - and I absolutely DETEST Juliette Lewis. I’ve never liked her, and she was bearable in this episode.
Even ElzaHub noticed Catalina’s absence last night, though. I wonder if she’s doing outside acting jobs or something.

Wasn’t the head bounty hunter - the one handing out the jobs - Don Swayze?

I was referring to your Round 3 comment.
Could be, it’s fun either way.
Okay…I don’t really see how it relates… Round 1 was Joy initially knocking Jessi’s teeth out… Round 2 was Joy knocking Jessi’s gold teeth out… Round 3 would be Jessi coming back again for revenge against Joy.
I enjoyed the episode, loved the catfight at the end, but still – I didn’t get my weekly “Catalina fix”! I can’t believe they had a whole episode without her!
So that’s why that character reminded me of Patrick Swayze. Good catch. (And I went back to check my tape, the end credits – you’re right).
lol - our local affiliate always minimizes the end credits, so if I don’t have my spectacles on, I’m lost.
My first thought was “Damn - the post “Dirty Dancing” years haven’t been kind to him” and then I realized it had to be the brother.

Somehow, I just knew when I saw that “Mad Libs” booklet, that Randy would answer everything with “butt.”
It blew me away when Joy took responsibility for causing the whole Jessie thing, and apologized to Earl for tricking him into marrying her when she was pregnant with another man’s baby, then having another man’s baby while they were married. But Earl’s response was just sweet. (And then the explanation for the extended hug afterward- hee!)
And I just love the pop culture references they throw in each show, especially the musical ones.
I liked how when Joy was apologizing for tricking him into marrying her, and getting pregnant while married to him, she followed up with “and other stuff”. I half expected Earl to give one of his great big bushy eyebrowed :dubious: reactions, but I guess it’s just setting the stage for more stuff that Joy will have to atone for in future eps.
Now can you Earl experts help out a Earl newbie. Last nights episode was the first one I have watched. So what happened to her kid??
You mean Joy’s kid? She had a boy, then another boy (with Crab Man), and the kids are living with Joy and Crab Man, who are now married. To each other.
She and Crabman are married, and have two kids. One is the child she was carrying when she met Earl. The other is one she had with Crabman while married to Earl.
Ok I guess I just didn’t see them in the episode and thought there might be more to it than that.
I loved their use of the Doors’ “Peace Frog” for the one legged donut lady in the rerun episode. Both a good title and a good sound for the hopping.
I loved the homages to Cape Fear with Juliette Lewis this time the victimizer instead of the victim. And Joy was actually… almost… nice in this episode, you could see why someone would almost love her on a supervised and heavily qualified basis for limited periods of time. (I wonder if her first baby daddy is ever going to be in an episode.)
And any second Ethan Supplee is on camera is one well spent.
not that Earl himself would’nt have also licked the chalk, he just didn’t
I love this show. Pure genius ;).
And I think Earl is hot
