I like Jason Lee, but if Ethan Supplee and Jaime Pressly don’t get Emmies for this show there is no justice. I’d also nominate Brett Butler (who I usually can’t stand) for a guest appearance Emmy as Joy’s mother “AND DON’T YOU JUDGE ME!” for it.
PS- Some trivia: Eddie Steeples (aka Darnell, aka Crabman) was filming a movie near the beaches of Thailand at the time of the tsunami and was on many news shows afterwards describing the experience. He also donated time and money (he’s not rich yet) to the relief effort.
And more trivia: in real life Ethan Supplee has a baby daughter with Juliette Lewis’s sister Brandi. Unfortunately, he and the mother are also both… oh madonna…Scientologists

The whole show’s a plot! There’s probably HiDef subliminal stuff going on to rope in the wealthier viewers.

Hmm, I watch it in Hi-Def and I still think Tom Cruise is a complete moron, I suspect it has more to do with Tom Cruise than the “crazy” Religion he belongs to and espouses. Does that mean they did or did not get to me?

Well, she is an illegal alien. Maybe she got scared because of the House and Senate’s kerfuffle this week over immigration reform and made herself scarce.
I loved the way they tied in the first episode, where Earl was supposed to give his friend Hank Lange one good day before Hank was transerred to state prison for twenty years, with the new episode. When the head bounty hunter guy was going around reading off the criminals and their bounties, the first one was “Okay, we got Hank Lange, broke out of jail, looks like ten gees.”
I totally missed that! Yay Jonesy! Uh–I mean, yay, Hank!

I think the point is that since there isn’t really much of a Jessi-Earl connection, only a Jessi-Joy connection, that there is unlikely to be an episode with a Round 3.
Wow- I didn’t know that the Co$ had got their hooks into everyone.

Still, not a problem unless the actress who plays Catalina is off somehwere being audited as a condition of further employment on the show…
Or they do an episode about how Earl swearing while attending the births of Joy’s children messed the kids up for life…
Or Tom and Katie turn up as Guest stars…
…Yeah, uh… I still don’t get it. She was a major guest star in this episode and established as having an important part in the overall story of the show. This isn’t like wishing the pawn shop lady comes back from the Randy goes back to High School episode.
She may come back peripherally, I suppose, but it’s highly unlikely that she will come back in any more important role, though. I mean she was major in this episode because Earl’s list item dealt with her. Each episode pretty much just focuses on his list… she is now crossed off of the list so there isn’t much reason for EARL to interact with her again. And the show isn’t about Joy, so it just seems unlikely that she’d show up again, at least more than just in passing.
The only thing I don’t get is why Earl accepted Joy’s crossing Jessie off his list. Ok, yeah, he was tricked into marrying Joy. But he wasn’t tricked into using Jessie’s Metallica tickets. He wasn’t tricked into not calling her. He wasn’t tricked into standing behind Joy at the bar “hiding” from Jessie. He wasn’t tricked into standing by while Joy beat the crap out of Jessie. Twice.
See where I’m going here? There’s lot of unattoned for Karma that Earl is still responsible for. I don’t think he learned his Moral Lesson this time.
EXACTLY! Which is why I think the possibility of her coming back is high (if Juliette Lewis wants to).
And Earl’s list has on several occasions been peripheral to the story of the episode. Sure it’s the catalyst but often the plots aren’t about crossing someone off the list. Earl returning the lap top to the professor… He crossed her off the list within five minutes, the actual plot of the story was more than that.
