I can’t believe this. I just finally saw this episode. OMG. I didn’t realize it when I started watching it but it hit me that this was a huge Rudy parody. Did anyone else see this?? It was GREAT!

There was a thread on it back when it aired. Of special amusement is the fact that Sean Astin (Rudy) was in the episode as well.

For the sake of trivia I’ll mention that the other salesman is Sean’s brother MacKenzie Astin.

yeah, I knew there was a thread on it earlier but I didn’t want to dig it up. I like how Earls boss was the coach from Rudy, one of his co-workers was the janitor from Rudy (basically gave the same inspirational speech at the end!) and Sean Astin was in it as well. Good times.
