My Name is Earl Mar 2, 2006

Actually I think I did, just to make sure it was the Greatest American Hero Song.

Jim

Right here.

Mr. Bunny thought I’d lost my ever-lovin’ mind.

Yeah, me too.

Even though I thought Riiiii-cola! was funnier.

I thought the moments with them silently hanging and slowly spinning around were great. On most sitcoms there is a need to fill every second with dialogue or frenetic action, and it was a nice break. It really gave you a sense of their isolation- they’re stuck until someone discovers them. It made me think- man, that’s gotta hurt, having that rope tied around their backs.

And what did Joy say about how she got out of a speeding ticket- “I just brushed up against his knobby” or something?

“I just brushed my license up against his knobby when I handed it to him.”

The look on Crabman’s face was priceless.

Actually, I was singing “Believe it or not, George isn’t at home…”

  • ::: raises hand ::: * “Believe it or not, it’s just meeeeee!”
Yeah, I sang along with the last line.

And “Riiiiiicolaaaaa” was pretty funny, too.

Those of you who thoght this one was weak are nuts. It was great. The turning and slowly swinging while they slept was priceless.
“Earl, are we gonna die here?”
“No.” “Maybe.” “Probably.”

I thought this episode was hilarious; The Office was terribly weak.

But…that was the one where Carter was back!

As someone who doesn’t watch ER…haven’t they been using that as an ad for like a month or two?

And the best thing was… they harmonized!

The best throwaway line in the show explains why Darnell understands the Electoral College.

I’m confused. Wouldn’t Earl have paid taxes when he won the lottery?

I thought the same thing. He seems to indicate he has $100,000 in cash (or did when he started).

You’d think they’d automatically withhold lottery winnings, but he seems to think he has the full $100,000.

If so, he owes a LOT more than $500!

Maybe that will be an episode later, where Earl finds out he only had $60,000+ because the government withheld.
