Funny Episode. Sigmond tonight instead of Puffenstuff.
Did anyone catch the HD easter-Egg? I didn’t see it.
I lost it when they broke into the Greatest American Hero Theme.
“I am sitting,… … … … Oh”
“We can call ourselves the Salt N Pepper Gang, you know cause we both like Salt N Pepper on our fries”
I don’t always remember to catch this show, but it’s always amusing. I’ve seen the ‘people trapped together’ episode of many shows, but never in a water tower.
“I spy with my little eye, something that starts with-”
“Is it the candy bar again?”
Can someone enlighten me on the concept of HD easter eggs? Considering I only watch HD, I’m guessing I’m seeing them and not noticing them as being anything out of the ordinary.
Another good one. I liked the clerk who knew all of the fines off the top of his head. Good to see that really nervous cop again, too (the same one who’s tasered both Earl and Joy in the past, wasn’t it?) I foresaw Earl getting taken into custody after volunteering to work on the road gang, of course.
Earl and Randy fighting over the candy bars and enjoying the echo effect of the water tower was great. I have to admit, I was getting a little annoyed at the increasingly anti-government tone of the episode, but they redeemed it at the end when Earl realized he’d still be stuck in the water tower if it weren’t for firefighters, deputy sheriffs, etc.
Somebody should tell Earl that the Treasury Department has a fund to which you can make a contribution for reduction of the Federal deficit.
And I’m still waiting for my 60 acres and a JetSki, too, come to think of it…
It’s not on all shows (in fact, “Earl” is the first time I have heard of it.) But because of the widescreen aspect of HD, “Earl” has put in some HD easter eggs that can’t be seen in normal broadcast. See here for more details.
But Joy won’t get hers 'cuz Crabman’s Canadian!
“Who am I Earl?” hops around with flag
“The first man on the moon?”
“No, the guy on the MTV logo!”
Poor, simple Randy. He’s so sweet.
Best line of the show. My wife and I were giggling about it the rest of the night. It’s the only thing that got us through another tedious episode of ER.
Glad to see I’m not the only one. Being taken away to jail: I saw that from a mile away. And seeing them hanging there forever got on my nerves. Still, I’ll take a weak episode of Earl over Four Kings or anything else.
Thanks, I final get Hi-Def and the stupid Boring Olympics pre-emt Earl. Than I finally get to see Earl in Hi-Def and record it on DVR and no HD easter eggs.
Here’s the thing with this show. They purposely telegraph a lot of stuff on the show (Earl getting picked up and going to jail)… but on MNiE that’s literally one bit on the show where on any other show that would be the WHOLE episode.
The Office was off a bit. It seemed really light. I do like that Ryan the Intern is an asshole., rather than another sclub or nice guy in the office.
The whole Jim’s vacation being right before the wedding was just written weird. Jim essentially told Pam he’s immature. He could have atleast lied and said “The only time I could go” or “The deal on airfare was too good.”
The Dwight and Angela bits were the best.
I now revise my prediction for the last scene of the season… It will be Pam and Jim at the airport on June 8th. She’ll be there meeting family who are coming in from out of town for the wedding while he’s waiting to board his plane. He’ll give her a hug good bye and she’ll kiss him. They’ll be interrupted and Jim will leave for his plane. So the question over the summer will be if she went through with the wedding.
