I liked The Office, too.

It’s actually remarkable how right on some of the details on that show are. For instance, I’ve actually received a joke email from a supervisor that went right into my spam folder because it was dirty (that was from a couple weeks ago).

He came by my office asking if I thought the email he sent was funny.

Also, this week’s was pretty similar to the last time we had a “real” fire drill – one that a fire truck showed up at. We shoot the shit about people’s cars, talk about dumb stuff. Last time we had one, we were standing in a circle and I go, “Did you guys all see Joe run screaming from the building?”

Everyone was like, “yup”.

He didn’t actually do that, but he was getting pissed at us. Just stupid office shit.

I didn’t agree with you until you explained it. And I agree, but I wouldn’t call it cynicism. Just that they need to dial it down a bit on the hokey ending dialogue.

I think this show was pretty close to what you are asking for. She didn’t just accept him. She faked her own death and jumped out of the coffin, Carrie-style.
