If I don’t have something to do, I’ve often said, I’m likely to spontaneously combust.
So thanks to Einstein’s Hund, aceplace57, gaffa, DMark, and Elfkin477, I was able to watch a German television program on my computer about 3 weeks ago which is called ON3- Südwild, which featured, among other acts, my newest project, 3 Bottles Of Wine, a German trio featuring keyboard, guitar and two voices. I am linking you to their HP and you can also find them on YouTube.
(Hey! I remembered how to do a hyperlink, y’all! :D:rolleyes::))
Their names are Florian, Marco and Julia. Florian and Julia are brother and sister and Marco is Julia’s SO, so there’s no Fleetwood Mac drama.![]()
The song which really “hit” me is “Never Forget”, which I plan to submit to the Alzheimer’s Association as maybe a “theme song” (I have someone checking on that for me right now).
So… my project, (as I alluded to before) is to bring them here to Atlanta and feature them in one of the “alternative music clubs” (do they still call them that?) and maybe get them some airplay.
Their songs are all original, and the harmonies are (to me) awesome. Also they seem to be 3 very sweet kids who are really trying hard to succeed.
So I will ask once more of my musician friends to give me your opinions of their work, and I’ll pass it along. I know this is a “rough cut” and I need to let Julia know she needs to emphacize (?) the word “Never” a bit more - but other than that?
One important thing I need help with from my *German * friends, is this line in the song “Never Forget”: "
"Never forget how it was feeling *each-others *arms around you
And everywhere it sounds sometimes…"
What in German, are they telling me here, and how can I delicately correct them and still keep the meaning of the song intact?
Thanks VERY much for ALL your input and wish us luck. I only have one venue I’m pursuing at the moment (Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta), so any other suggestions are very welcome indeed.
Thanks
