He and my mother have been married for eleven years. This morning he told her that he had gotten another woman pregnant eight years ago. He’s been paying “blackmail” to them ever since. He finally decided he couldn’t take it anymore, and the woman is suing for child support. That’s why he had to come clean.
My mother is devastated, for lack of a stronger word. She loved this creep enough to actually marry him twice. They divorced the first time because (get ready to be shocked now) he was cheating on her. I can’t imagine what she’s going through right now. I’m feeling kind of stunned myself, and I’ve hated my stepdad for years. (Why? you ask. Because he abused my brother and myself when we were kids, I reply.)
This is not in the Pit, because I just don’t have the energy or the imagination to do it up right. I just want to help my mom, and I know there’s just no way.
Holy cow! That’s quite a bomb to drop. I hope he doesn’t expect her to take this sitting down. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I am so sorry your mom has to go through this. Hope things get better for her. Just be there for your mom so she has a shoulder to cry on.

Man, that sucks. I was saddled with a cheater for many years. Your mom has to remove herself from the situation. She will get over him. It took years for me (a fact that will embarrass me 'til the day I die) but it finally happened. I was able to see him for the snake he was.
