Up from my nap.
I have chills though so I don’t know for how long I am staying up.
The hospital had heated blankets, I wish I had some now.
My younger niece came by today, with her hair all pretty. She was asked to be in a commercial and so was being filmed later today. I wish I could remember for what. I asked her if she wanted to see where the doctor cut into me and she was the first person to say yes. Then she was disappointed because the incision is about the size of an end of a swizzle stick.
Don’t know when I will have some dinner, my stomach hurts. I have some left over wonton soup and it sounds good for now.
Finally got around to going shopping in town today- since moving, I’m now 45 minutes walk away, not just 2 minutes, as I used to be, so as I flatly refuse to drive in as parking is crazy expensive, it’s a bit of a mission now. Bought new jammies.
Bumped into my landlord in town, and ended up getting somewhat drunk on Gluhwein at the German Christmas market with him and a few friends… hic At which point, I suddenly got a call from my boss asking if I was available for work right now… Bleedin’ typical, I’ve been desperate for work all week, and the one time I really can’t go is when he calls. He’s not unreasonable about expecting me to do the last minute calls (it’s generally when someone else doesn’t show up), but I could really do with the money. I do have work both days this weekend anyway, so at least next week shouldn’t be as worryingly low paid as this one, even without emergency extra shifts.
I’m having a [bleep] of a time dealing with my computer right now. Last update broke something, and I can’t seem to get rolling back to a restore point to work. System keeps complaining about active anti-virus. Turned off AdAware, AVG would not allow itself to be turned off, even via Task Manager. Fine, I’ll uninstall it (and probably won’t reinstall something that hijacks my control of my computer like this). CANNOT get “secure search” uninstalled.
Who’s in charge of the stick-spider brigade? Are you taking requests for destinations for them? I’d love to give a bunch to the idiots who thought security software should behave like malware does.
It was suggested that I no longer make erudite comments while Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) is watching unusual television programs.
I readily agreed, but after the fact, this morning, she agreed that the Finding Bigfoot episode made in Fouke, Arkansas, would have made more sense if all the witnesses had prefaced their comments with, “Well, I was drinking…”
Me and Billy Wayne was drankin some Leroy Wilson Moonshine. You know Leroy Wilson? That shit will knock you on your ass and leave you thar for two, three days.
Well, we was drankin, and this here Bigfoot come up! It was aheaded right fur us, so we shot it.
When we come too, the bigfoot was gone, and thar was my Mother in Law, the Ol’ bi…the pore woman.
Her body was untouched, save for fifteen bullet holes.
Sheriff Fife never figured out whut happened. Once when he was drankin Leroy Wilson moonshine down at the Come an Go, he said he thought it wus space aliens.
But we know, them big foots done drug the body away and put the ol bi…the pore woman thar.

Home from Paula’s show, exhausted! She’s amazing - her shows are very stream-of-consciousness with audience chat interspersed. Very fun, but having gotten up at 5, I’s beat!!
My weekend will be spent stenciling towels and maybe doing some clay work.
It’s a dark balmy 45 degrees with a projected high of 57.
I am up too early thanks to a shrinking bladder. Now I’m hungry but I’m not going to eat this early. I’ll go back to bed soon.
I need to get one of those weekly pill container thingies. I set my alarm to my pill times but then I forget to get the pills out. or sit and wonder if I took them or not.
Getting old is a bitch. Next I’m going to have to get some reading glasses. So far I refuse to give in and get them. It’s not vanity, it’s just one more thing to carry around and keep track of. I remember when all I needed to carry was two keys, some bills and my license. Then I added a phone and a blue tooth and traded in the cash for a debit card. Anything more and I will need to get a purse.
GD!!! there’s the mouse!!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis a very foggy 57 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 for the day. There may or may not be rain later. Anywho, sounds like this afternoon will be a great time to open windows and air out da cave.
No real plans for the day at all. OYKW hinted at a run to  Wally*World  but he may have that excitatement all to himself. I really don’t want to leave da cave today unlessen I just have to and can’t really think of a reason why that might happen.
The Bishop shows up tomorrow. I may have mentioned that already. We shall also break ground on what is bein’ called “Church Proper” tomorrow. I think I already mentioned that as well. Deheathenization shall be long tomorrow, hence another reason to not want to leave da cave today.
StickyBuns are you doin’ your homework, young lady? :dubious: You just march yourself in there and get busy! The sooner you start, the sooner you get done. Now march! Not a peep out of you until it’s done. Don’t give me that look! You want your face to freeze that way? Now, get busy!
I live to motivate.
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance.
I’ve been largely unproductive this morning, I got up late and fed the cats, faffed on the intwertoobz, ordered some hexmas presents and wasted far too much time reading farcebook.
Dinner tonight will be slow-cooked pork shoulder so I need to get that in the crockpot before I go out this afternoon. I did remember to get the meat out of the freezer last night so all it needs is a bit of a rub and then it’s going in the pot.
As a bonus, I checked my online bank statements as I know I have something that pays a dividend a couple of times a year and I was pretty sure I’d not seen anything about it recently. Checked back a bit and found a deposit of £104 in my account. Corn in Egypt!
Right, off to make a cup of tea and then rub my pork…
My sweetie got up with Higgs so I could sleep in. Unfortunately, when he closed the bedroom door, Taz was on the inside, so I was up within minutes. And once I’m up, that’s it. So I’m surfing and **FCD **is back in bed. And Higgs is crashed on the ottoman behind me. It’s a quiet morning in FairyChatEstates.
It rained all night, which is good. What’s even better is **FCD **did the first sweep of the yard on Thursday with the sucker/mulcher, so our lawn isn’t covered in wet leaves. Yay! It’s just supposed to be cloudy today and tomorrow, then another chance of rain on Monday. I still plan to stay housebound. I’m going to hem and stencil a batch of towels and maybe have a little studio time - we shall see.
Then I came dangerously close to laughing quite loudly, which would have awakened my brother, who arrived in Indy around 1 a.m. It would have been your fault, Mr. Flytrap! And… well, who knows what the consequences would have been then?
Yes, I am in Indianapolis, which has the honor of holding the Bands of America Grand National Championships. This is the last event my nephew is participating in with his old school and it is huge. I recommend avoiding downtown Indy till tomorrow as it is currently filled with hordes of high schoolers.
But it’s going to be fun.
I got here yesterday because my brother had already reserved a room and I wanted to go to the art museum. They have an excellent Matisse exhibit (pricey, but you get a free audio tour and it’s really VERY well organized, with lots of supplemental information and the works are VERY cool).
Wandered around the European collection a bit as well. First part I came to was underwhelming (I think it was late 18th and early 19th centuries, which aren’t my favorites anyway). Earlier and later stuff was very nice, though.
Later went to meet up with nephew to hand over his charger. He wasn’t answering his phone, so I wandered around downtown and the wandered into the mall downtown and looked aroud, keeping an eye out for him. Didn’t really think I’d run into him, but just as I was wandering through the last bit that I was planning to see, I came upon jim and 2 of his buddies. He gave me a bag with a present for his dad and I gave him his charger. It was rather surreal because the place was filled with teens and nephew and his friends were just sitting on the floor, watching the world go by.
Are you done yet?
Hugs to all - glad to see the new job is going well, doggio; sorry about the boredom for others. Take care of yourself, sari.
At least that’s what I was told. I made brekkie. Bacon, scrambled aigs, bizkits (ok, frozen bizkits but I did have to turn on the oven and make sure they didn’t burn so it counts as bakin’. Does Too!) and cheese grits. OYKW was still slumberin’ away when I started. Thus he was awakened by the smell of bacon fryin’ (which I did whilst fully clothed, thankyewverymuch). He stumbled into the kitchen and declared, “You are EEEEE-VILE!!!” Didn’t stop him from wolfin’ it all down, however.
Anywho, he has consented to makin’ the trek to  Wally*World  sans moi. YAY!!! He is in the midst of purtification as I post. I am already purtified.
