**swampy **- I didn’t take a pic of the other end of the towel, but there’s either an Amish woman or an Amish man in silhouette. I’ve sold a bunch with the regular buggy in silhouette, but in a flash of inspiration, I replaced the horse with a reindeer. Hope they sell - otherwise I’ll be begging people to take them!
MOOOOOOM my bet is you’ll be up to your ears in orders for 'em once people see 'em. You’ll become the go to person for all things Amish decor!
I like cardinals. Specially Banggai ones, but Pajamas are nice too. Not creepy at all.
I has sore, tired feets, after standing up all day. I’m glad to not be working tomorrow!
I like the towels.
I’m getting sleepy and it’s only 5:30. Of course I woke up early too, but I did fall back asleep for a bit.
I have a load of things to do tomorrow, I should start making a list. i finally saw the dog wash advertised on TV and got the address so I will check that out, and I need to follow up with the doctor, get some rat traps, and some groceries. I’ve got enough laundry piled up but that will wait until Tuesday. I think I need gas, and I have to make another appointment to put the truck in the shop. I know I have some pet sitting coming up, I won’t be doing any walking but I can let the beasties outside.
I’m not sure I want to be up to my ears in orders, but I have gotten mass production down to a bit of a science. Still, each one still requires some hand-painting, so they take time. I don’t want to spend every weekend stenciling towels…
Well, better get the last of the stenciling done - I’ve got to put holly in each crab’s claw - ho ho ho!!
I got the apples baked, the fruit flies chased out (I hope), the chili made, the laundry did, the walk walked, and a lot of the bags cut. I also watched a horrible RenFest movie, Quest of the Delta Knights. Now I should probably consume some dinner before frittering the night away on games.
Worked(full moon busy). I’m off tomorrow. so I could be [del]shanghaied[/del]persuaded to do the MMP.
I missed it because of work, but Reavers couldn’t tear me away from box set. ![]()
Mooooooommmm!, I love the towels. The crab ones suit my Christmas mood.
Spaz, I remember that flick from MST3K. And Hail Uncooked Rice!(sounds like an acolyte of the FSM).
Congrats to nephew’s band, gt!
We have a motion on the floor.
All in favor of doggio startin’ us off tomorrow say “Aye”!
AYE!!!
All opposed [del]sit down and shaddup[/del] say “Nay”!
::crickets::
The “Ayes” have it. doggio shall start us off [del]with an assortment of bagels and schmeer[/del] with Og only knows what, but we shall be entertained no doubt.
unless someone impatient gets to the 'dope before doggio does . . .
Well, then **doggio **better make sure his butt is awake early enough to start us off!! ![]()
FINALLY FINISHED!!! Hereare my Merry Crabmas crabs with holly. Now they all need to sit for 3 days so the paint can cure, at which point I need to iron them to set the paint. I’ve made the Merry Crabmas iron-on labels - I am sooooo efficient! ![]()
Time to take off my apron and assume the knit position. Very productive day…
Let’s see, congrats to gt’s nephew!
Yay for rosie!
Um, lots of other things I don’t remember! ![]()
But most importantly,** sari**, you need to back off on your list. Please take it easy. All of those things to do will still be around tomorrow. Take care of yourself first.
It is company owned. Of course it is good that he doesn’t have to pay for the repairs. However, if he’s sitting around, he isn’t getting paid. They were supposed to have it done by 6 but it isn’t finished yet.
I, however, am finished with my project!!! ![]()
In other news of personal development, I believe that my therapist will be quite proud of me. A lesson came up that would have completely reminded me of Dave’s final days and so I told my mentor about it and said that I figured that I would be fine teaching it but that I just wanted her to know. She told me that I could teach an alternate lesson and that she would teach this one after I was gone.
Normally, overachiever me would have said, oh no, I’m tough, I can do this even though just thinking about it was starting to shake up memories that I don’t care to remember. But I decided that I don’t have to be tough* all the time and I said thank you and I am teaching the alternate lesson.
*I know, I guess you could say that I’m not really tough if teaching a lesson is going to affect me this way but I guess I just feel like I’m learning to pick my battles more wisely.
Congrats, Sticky, on finishing and taking the alternate - I’d say that shows significant personal growth. Good on ya!!
And on that note, I’m off to assume the knit position. MWAH!!!
Yay for finished project StickyBuns! I’m sure Bubbaschnoodle is just exhausted from all that supervision.
As to teachin’ that lesson, good for your mentor to say she’d do it if you’re not comfortable. Nuttin’ wrong with not wantin’ to do it just yet.
Yay for finishing your project Sticky
OAOASO is a truck driver and he was working for some company where i swear he was broken down on the side of the road more than he was working.
A few times I helped him out because he didn’t have any cash and the parts store wouldn’t take his company credit card, so I went and got the parts on my card for him. Then I had to wait for his asshole boss to reimburse me and I didn’t even get a thank you for it. He finally got a job with a good company that takes care of their trucks and he even gets paid on time too.
OMG!!! LOL They have a Chia Willie and a Chia Uncle Si (the Duck Dynasty guys)
Unlikely, the dogbutler always gets the dope! Wait, that came out wrong.
Congrats on the project, Sticky! And there’s nothing wrong with not being ready for the lesson, yet.
Sari, we got those Chias at work.
Fairychat, I think you should make a kitchen towel set for Swampy with Pajama Cardinals on it.
I will pay you money.
according to friends and family throughout Indyanna, they had a rather rough afternoon. Sister won’t see her sweetie tonight; he’s an electrical lineman and 50k people in his district are in the dark…
Eek. That sounds really crappy. His company is ok, it’s just that his truck seems unreliable. He just called me a few minutes ago (can I say how freaking awesome facetime is???) and he’s on his way again now.
I’m working on homework. Even though my big project is done, I still have to make sure that all of my materials are ready for this week’s lessons. If I get it all done tonight that means I can be back in the silverware business again tomorrow when I get home. :sigh: Go, team mono!!!
I finished half my baking for a bake sale, but I’m very worried that the cookies got overcooked.
I can’t make new ones of that type because that type of cookie takes forever to prepare and bake.
That, plus absolutely nobody has offerred to collect the cookies from me to bring to the bake sale (since I won’t be available to bring them myself on the day of the sale.)
This freaking sucks.
Hmmm, I have to go to work early tomorrow.
Just sayin’
