My Very First MMP

Recall Polonius’ advice to Laertes in Hamlet:

“Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For Swampy won’t pay the damn money back.”

It’s snowing. :mad::mad:

I had the A/C on in the car this morning.

Today’s supposedly going to be the coolest this week, with a projected high of 70 (it’s 68 at 12:50pm). Highs this week are predicted up to 76, which is IMO annoyingly high for November.

JimmyCrest ick! I might need to pull the “No Snow” signs out early.

Da cave smells like death chikin. Of course, any chikin that was cookin’ would already BE daid bein’ as cookin’ a live chikin would just be mean. However, it smells really good up in here right now. Sides shall be green beans and parsnips. Don’t yuck! We like parsnips.

flytrap I always payback. Ok, sometimes I use creative ways but still…

I don’t think I’ve ever knowingly eaten parsnips. But there’s a town near where I live called Parsippany, and while trying to text my roommate something about it today, it autocorrected to “parsnip pants”. So it’s just kind of weird that parsnips came up twice today.

It was snowing here earlier, and is now raining.

Well, back to work on various projects, I suppose.

It is rumored that the low tonight will be 27, but weather prediction is not a science but a Black Art.

Parsnips are very good, cooked in the manner of carrots.

I frequently believe that weather prediction makes heavy use of dartboards.

I believe you are mistaken. I have it on good authority, that they roll bones and read entrails. Whose and whats are never mentioned.

Woot Woot first on two

That’s also a strong possibility. Maybe regional variants in techniques?

I would like October’s weather back, please. And it can last until April AFAIC

Parsnips comin’ up twice would be an icky thing. However, “parsnip pants” has the makin’s of a good insult.

Waitin’ on OYKW to call and I’ll steam green beans and parsnips (not together but that might be good) and bake the rolls. I’s hongry! Yes, we do eat earlyish.

Wow, that DOES sound good. Has anyone had luck scaling it down?

**Swampy **-- are you making it because of a recent death :frowning: or just because it’s an awesome recipe  ? Does it keep or freeze well? What happens to the bacon at the bottom – I assume it can’t get crispy, but does it at least render?

Home, cod and fries/tots for supper, cold’s a comin’…

Dark Chocolate Snickers sounds like food of the gods! I pass a CVS on my way home. Maybe I won’t pass tomorrow.

Thank you to all the veterans, living and dead, who served in our country’s armed forces.

I’m off to the boat again tomorrow.

You live in New York, Oh Cute One.
You have two seasons, August and Winter.
:frowning:

The Princess is in major sulk mode, having just had her front claws clipped. Got through one paw without too much hassle, the second paw required wrapping her up in a sofa throw. She’ll recover, with help from some Friskies Party Mix. Most cats seem to think edible bribes can sort out a lot.

Apparently, a cat’s nose skin is called “nose leather,” its ear hair is called “ear furnishings,” and its sagging belly skin is called a “primordial pouch.” I just learned that last one now.
