Add mine to the Doper mix, I have some weird combination of average weaponry and an inability to choose the right one at the right time. Seriously, I always throw the net followed by a star. Woohoo, a star.

I was a tiny bit disappointed with my brute. I don’t seem to be getting the really primo bonuses when I gain levels. He’s got pretty good strength, a club and a sword, plus Herculean Strength and the Net. If all of those things work right together, it’s not bad; throw the net and then bash somebody with the club and it’s good for about 50 points of damage. But, I only created one brute, so I’ll stick with him. And I knew I was just one fight away from level 6 today.
So I fought, and went up a level. I got a freakin’ knife.
Could be worse. That’s my first guy. Note the level. Note the number of victories. Note the complete lack of weapons. He only just got the strength increase, being forced to get through his first 4 levels with a strength of 2 and no weapons. He tries, bless his heart, but he’s way out of his league in the pits. Maybe someday, he’ll get a weapon…
Don’t knock the throwing stars. They saved my ass in this awesome come from behind fight.
Man, that Impact is a killer. He needs to learn him some Martial Arts and forgo the need for primitive weapons altogether. Honestly, what has he been doing in that dojo all this time?
Okay guys, if you have any brutes between the levels of 6 and 9, listen up!!!
If you want easy wins and still get the full 2XP per win, fight the following brutes:
4ul3 (Hereafter referred to as Easy Brute 1)

EB1 has no abilities, no pets and only two weapons and they’re nothing that threatening. So in theory he can beat your characters, but he won’t. I can almost guarantee it. My four characters that have been fighting him daily have only two losses among them all. His cell reveals a 1-6 record currently.
EB2 has no weapons and no pets. He has some abilities, but they’re inconsequential. If you visit his cell, as of right now, he has 7 losses.
EB3 is the most threatening of the three. He has a dog, a few decent weapons and the ability of Extra Thick Skin. My four characters still destroyed him though. He has no other abilities and ETS only seems to matter when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. His cell also reveals a 1-6 record. If you check it right now, his only win is EB1!
Fight these three characters with decent brutes and you’ll go 3-0 for the day. I did this with four brutes for a record of 12-0. None of my four brutes lost to these guys and they’re not the most impressive of characters.

Yeah, I submitted my Lady for consideration into the clan, but still I remain clan-less. It’s 'cause I’m not pretty enough isn’t it? I blame the magazines for creating unrealistic expectations for our young Brutes.

Still, for what it was, that was indeed a pretty good battle. 
You lost to ebur? Wow. Seriously though, over the long run, I would hope you beat him more often than not. Because he has no weapons fer cryin’ out loud!

I do have some more bright ideas though. 
LV7: chisletip. One weapon, no pets, mostly irrelevant abilities. Cell shows his current record as being 0-7.
LV8: death star. Two weapons, no pets, one worthless ability. 0-7 is also his record.

Painful losses to Joel Otto, zembo, RoboMoose Jr, (twice), and zembo.
