I recommend being scanned by cops even though I am innocent because I think my affiliation will be shown sooner than later. At some point, town will have to lynch either GnarlyCharlie or me. And then the cop results will be proven. I definitely recommend not lynching either of us today, but will be willing to fall under the hammer toMorrow if it will give town some real results.

Still, having info on folks that are likely to be scum is more important because the scums will not target themselves for murder, therefore regardless of guilt or innocence, your results will likely be of some use before you have to lynch the suspect, and could dissuade you from doing so.

It’s a minor point but like chess, a good move is inferior to a better one, and I’m not sure scanning townies is superior to scanning scum. I think that’s not true.

I have 2 minutes here, and still haven’t read most of the thread, but I saw some chithcat about cops. Has Texact said who she targeted last night? I thought that maybe I got the info about her because she targeted me/Hirka. The weird thing there being why would she do that when Hirka only had one post. But I don’t think it was neceassarily a cop peek of any variety that told me she is a mason.

No, I haven’t said who I targeted either N1 or N0, but will confirm that it was not you or Hirka. I have received no results from my targets.

my thoughts so far:

i don’t think jan is scum. she would be lynched next Day when i flip town. here are the most likely options.

1. she is an insane or paranoid cop. already discussed.
2. she was the target of some broadcasting scum. jan accuses me and i get lynched. i flip town, she gets lynched next Day. two mislynches and analysis is killed for two Days. why target me? i’m currently not under suspicion or pressure. they could then vote to lynch townie who IS under pressure.

I don’t know how many people targeted me last night, aside from Gnarlycharlie. But I do know that Weedy received a correct result. So someone targeting me last night was a good cop with results sent to Weedy? And I am not sure how redirection works. If everyone targets Gnarly tonight, I am worried that we might get garbled noise. I’d like everyone who targeted me last night to target Charlie tonight. And everyone who thinks they might be a cop to target me tonight.

i wonder if weedy’s target was scum and weedy stole the said target’s result or that player’s (still scum IMO) results were redirected to weedy.

I don’t know if it’s bugging anybody else, but the absence of Supposed Mason **gnarlycharlie **is starting to bug me.

I understand he’s playing in 4 games, and perhaps his participation would be light because of that, but we haven’t heard from him here since yesterday (Sunday) morning.

Considering that he’s been a topic of discussion, you’d think he might want to make an appearance, or that his fellow Mason might have PM’d him to say “get your butt over here” at some point.

I’m going to be thinking out loud for a sec.

Jan is Town.
–Jan is a real Cop. Charlie, Tex, and possibly Ben are all Scum (the latter because of the message, but I find that a more remote reason than the immediate.
–Jan is a paranoid or insane Cop. If paranoid, it tells us nothing about Tex and Charlie (could have been a panicky Scum gambit), if insane, we get two confirmed Town, and Ben starts leaning Town for me.
–Jan is Scum. Charlie and Tex are likely Town, Ben is likely Scum.
–Jan is Town, not a Cop. We are all fucked and have no clue what to do next.

I think we learn more from lynching Jan than we do from lynching Charlie

i doubt the other scum would agree to such a gambit.

Why do people keep listing the possibility that Jan is a town cop? If what she posted is true, she did not choose the investigation whose results she got.

I’ve given up trying to figure out the vote count. We need answers and I see gnarlycharlie as holding the answers more than anyone else.

Let’s say the oracle thing is happening and that it IS with those five roles…that would mean that Weedy’s result is most likely from the sane oracle, whereas Silver Jan’s could be from the insane one or the paranoid one. I know I’m Town, so mine isn’t scummy, that divides up **Giraffe **and Scuba’s reads from the naive OR paranoid OR insane (depending on which one Jan’s got and which one mine isn’t) and my read between the naive OR paranoid OR insane one (depending on which one Jan got and which one the non-scummy Giraffe or Scuba got)
I sure hope that all made sense because it BARELY made sense to me and I’m the one who wrote it.

It could all be redundant, though, if it’s not the case.

weedy’s result doesn’t have to be from a sane oracle. it could have been redirected from a scum investigator. weedy got role AND alignment.

I didn’t quite understand what she was saying about PMs, and I can’t find it now, but if I understand her correctly, she got her information about gnarly’s innocence in a PM from… gnarly. Hardly an unbiased source. If I’m misremembering, and TexCat claimed to get her info from Gadarene, disregard this part. I will add that a wolf hidden amongst the masons does not sound unreasonable to me in a game this size. We’d be a step closer towards clearing our other mason claimants if Gnarly ends up dead (unless they’re wolves too. FPS, maybe?)

Long story short, we need to know gnarly’s team.

I disagree with the **gnarlycharlie **lynch due to the idea of a Dethy detective setup in this game, which renders gnarly a null-tell. But I cannot prove he’s innocent.

I think Silver Jan is okay, as she’s in the top 3 or 4 of those who have been scanned as being likely guilty, but I think it’s sorta weak.

I think Scuba_Ben is a meh lynch. Not going to give us much info if he flips townie, and I don’t think the case on him warrants an immediate lynch.

**Blaster **is in my top two lynches for today, but I actually rather liked his contributions so far.

Weedy- I’ve reversed on. Don’t think so/not sure.
Peeker- still reads innocent to me.
Episkey- I like his posts.
TexCat- not the best lynch out of the 5 scanees, I don’t think… could be wrong.

Where do you stand on the other 4 scanees?

I’m torn on Texcat. There is a report that she’s town but it smells funky. Dancecat and Blaster Master seem a bit out of left field. They both have drawn fire in the past and these claims show up the day after one got quite a few votes and on the day the other picked some up. The report on Silver Jan showed up earliest and first which makes me want to trust it as it’s not a response to anything, it came unbidden. On the other hand, it could have been a plant to stir the pot. However, Gnarly’s flip would give us further insight into Silver Jan’s alignment. We can sit here and talk until the thread is 13 pages long and it won’t matter. Eventually we have to lynch someone and a good chunk of people are going to think it’s the wrong lynch. You, yourself, who can’t seem to hold onto an opinion for more than 2 posts will immediately shift your case if any one person seems to be the general consensus, especially if you were the firebrand that started that consensus in the first place. The Day is over in less than 24 hours. We need answers and I see Gnarlycharlie as a good place to get them. So, gnarly, jan, texcat, blaster master, dancecat.

A) This is probably not allowed, and may you get modkilled

B) If it occurred and both players were honest, gnarly is very clear

C) If gnarly is a wolf (which is possible), he edited his role pm to deceive texcat.
