Probably because of jan’s message. I wouldn’t sweat it, the wagon should shift away from you tomorrow. You’re very clear looking for the time being.
Also I want to mention this from d1
Post 738 of mine about gnarly:
Underlined the important part. Now I very may well have been wrong about gnarly being a wolf, but his vote of texcat did look suspicious at the time, which was this:
Which proves at a minimum that gnarly was legitimately suspicious of texcat. Thus he would have reasonable means to have targeted texcat at night, and alas that masonry is formed. Make’s it considerably less likely they are both w/w, because it would have to involve a ton of pre-planning on their parts.
Anyone voting for texcat or gnarly today is a fool, or a wolf.
We need to decide if it’s better to lynch inside the other claimers or outside of them. There’s so much misinformation out there (bad seers, randomizers, redirectors) that I feel like we almost have to lynch inside the claim to get some sort of information, but I also think that whatever information we get isn’t likely to be helpful in solving the current fiasco. IE if we lynch whoever claimed gnarly was a wolf, that person may just be random role X and at night received the peek because of a redirector, so we actually learn nothing and very well may cause a mislynch. If we’re going outside the claim, I’d like to lynch someone like
Precambrian
Maybe he can change my mind tomorrow, but probably not.
I find it extremely likely that gnarlycharlie and TexCat are both Town Masons, as they say they are. Those slow to remove their votes from gnarly should be viewed with grave suspicion.
For TexCat to lie would seem a bizarre bluff to run. For TexCat to be truthfully relaying a Moderator deceit would seem too gastardly. There’s a chance I’m wrong about this, but we can rethink this in the Days to come.
I agree that that we should focus on normal scum-hunting toDay, and try to sort out the funny claims later when we have more info.
I’m happy with with my vote on Blaster Master, especially seeing that he’s on this faulty gnarlie wagon.
I gotta run for the night. If gnarly flips scum, I’d like opinions on who I should poison.
If he flips townie, I already know who gotta die.
Wait, wait, wait - I thought TexCat had to target you to find out who you were? And that she was suspicious of you and voted you, and then targeted you Night One?
Did I misread?
Sorry, had it backwards. But why the targeting if ye had role pm’s from the beginning?
Unrelated to above - is there an argument to be made for not lynching anyone who returned results last night? I’m worried that the 5 cops might each have a person that they always send their result to, and that lynching wrong will deprive us of cop results.
At least holding off the lynch (of the people who say they got results) til tomorrow would let us find out if the same people get results or not?
If you figure out TexCat was scum somehow, I think I get my townie creds for trying real hard to kill it. But everyone was so sure and talked me down. So cheers.
Ditto DanceCat.
So it seems like I set the cat amongst the pigeons again.
I had not even considered that the information I received could be incorrect but it seems as if that is possible, especially considering the Masons claim. The only thing I know for sure is that I am a Villager, I don’t know what my role is. If I am lynched today, very little information will be gleaned except for perhaps my role.
I haven’t really got another suspect at the moment because all those I was suspicious of seem to be confirming each other and surely not all of them can be scum, namely gnarly,Tex and Weedy. If they are all scum then it was either a very brave thing to do or a very silly thing to do and I just can’t see that happening. Why would 3 scum all openly protect each other? It doesn’t make sense.
Anyway, this post is really to show you all that I am reading everything and I don’t know what to do about my vote yet. It is difficult once you have seen a name written down in black and white to dismiss it very easily. I am not inflexible though and I am willing to change my vote to a more likely candidate.
Maybe as a personal favor to me you could push Dancecat a little closer to death.
Even if no one bites, it gives us options near the end of the round which is rapidly approaching. Options are pro-town.
we (as in all the players) had incomplete PMs at the start of the game. by successfully targeting TexCat, the mod gave both of us our complete PMs.
FWIW, i don’t think you’re scum. otherwise i would have already voted for you. if scum gave you that result, it paves the way for two town mislynches.
please post a link to your case of DanceCat. i’ve been catching up and defending myself plus you have a ton of posts. ![]()
I think it is a possibility that scum gave me that result and I no longer trust the result totally (apart from a little nagging at he back of my brain somewhere) so I am prepared to
Unvote gnarlycharlie
As I have no real suspects now I am just going to follow Pizza’s lead and hope to hell he isn’t scum.
Vote Dancecat
Well let’s see what happens.
<snippped>
this is mas dangerous you are going to follow someone else’s lead. crud even as masons and scum we typically do our own thing. second i am becoming more and more concerned that pizza is not town. so this one puts your alignment which was already suspect even more in question. plus i think your judgement might be a tad faulty as well.
and fart you folks post a TON.
hey buff how’s that thing with mykbot working out for you?
Jesus Christ. We have a person who got a Scum result now voting for someone other than the person they said was Scum. This is a fucking trainwreck and a half.
Has ANYONE in the thread gotten a message about the role or alignment of any player that hasn’t already been mentioned? If so, out with it–if there are six results floating out there, it might get rid of the Dethy theory.

End of Day in 6.5 hours?
Alright, after getting caught up (AGAIN!), I see that SilverJan’s role may not be as important as I thought. I originally feared that she may be the one and only seer (I now realize that that is silly considering the scope of the game) and that lynching her my be very detrimental to the town.
But, it seems the more likely situation is that she is one of several cops in varying states of mental coherence. So, the only way to know for sure is to start lynching cops, I guess. I just don’t like that option. If Silverjan is an insane cop, she’s still very useful.
But, if she’s a naive or paranoid cop - her reads mean nothing.
I guess the only way we’re going to sort this mess is to lynch one of the parties and go from there based on role and alignment.
