I have made this post multiple times before hitting Submit, and voted for a different person each time. The other potential targets, just to have it on record, were Ben again and Inner Stickler. Of the three cases floating out there, I think Blaster Master has been the most incosistent and has been vaguely pinging me a bit (useless I know) despite the fact that I agreed with him on the case against Ben. I just don’t fucking know. I think we need more information before we throw ourselves into the whole pile of claims. Maybe another round of Night actions will make things a bit clearer. My head hurts. Fuck it. This may be my last post of the Day.

I just now got back. I haven’t been able to catch up from post 1501 on, due to day job and very very tired. I feared I’d be checking in and resigning myself to being lynched.

Instead I find I’m now 3rd, with Silver Jan first.

I wish to repeat the message I received overNight: I was informed that Silver Jan is a Villager.

If Jan flips Wolf then either I am lying about my message or my message is lying to me. There’s more information to be gained by lynching me – should I flip Town (and I will) it demonstrates that I am accurately reporting my message AND strongly indicates that Idle accurately reported HIS message about Dancecat.

I need to review the case on gnarlycharlie, buried somewhere in the last 10 pages. For now, I prefer to see GC hang than Jan, because I consider Jan confirmed Town.

I was going to post this anyway: I targeted gnarlycharlie last Night. I received no result with respect to my action.

I just noticed something else here as well (and I brought this up earlier and either everyone is ignoring me or it just got lost in the kerfuffle). Anywho, Scuba Ben seems to be the only one (unless I missed something) who is claiming both a message about someone’s alignment and a result of his own Night action.

What I had asked earlier is whether anyone else who had gotten a random message had also received a PM regarding their own Night action. And I’m not asking anyone to claim what their action or result was, just whether they also got a PM regarding the result of that action.

This day was a crazy read. I had a long ass post explaining my thoughts on the optimal vote today, but Dancecat recently gave the cliffs version here:

1. We have no idea who has received correct alignment. In the case that there are mystic seers (A chooses Bs investigation, B chooses C’s, C chooses A’s etc) I am not voting for any of them today.

2. We also cannot tell which alignments are correct after a sample size of 1 night. We can start working it out tomorrow with a larger sample.

3. I’m never ever lynching a claimed mason this early. If we get towards the endgame and both are alive then we can reevaluate, but not now.

4. Again, can reevaluate this as the game progresses, but am not lynching anyone like this today.

5. Will not make a useless vote obviously.

All caught up, finally, although after this message is posted, there will probably be 100 more posts.

I’m starting to like the case being made for Blaster. For one, I didn’t like how he voted for NAF for the bad idea on Day one either (because it’s the same reason I voted Dancecat for)
But for a MAJOR, major two, he Voted for Silver Jan back when all that was known was: Silver Jan said gnarly was a wolf.

WHY the hell he’d vote for the person making the claim instead of the one accused of being a wolf, I have no freaking idea…and I said as much, including how suspicious I found him for it. In that post and this post later on (when he tried to explain it).
I didn’t like it then, I don’t like it now.

Regarding others: I’m still pretty suspicious of Scuba, but Blasters has risen above that for now.
I don’t understand why people are finding Inner Stickler suspicious since nothing he’s done or said has tripped any meters for me…and I really don’t get why people are still gunning for peeker.
The only other player I have any kind of suspicions of is PCM (still). Can’t wait for it to be Night so I can take my time to reread a lot of the thread without having the fear I’m playing catch up.

Ah, Jesus… I give up, every time I check I have another vote on me and they’re all ridiculous. Screw it, it’s not worth catching up if I’m just gonna get wagoned, I’ve just wasted the morning trying to read and catch up only to get lynched for stupid reasons.
sachetorte made his vote against me for misunderstanding my night post, then got subbed out. Worthless vote.
Septimus makes a lazy vote on me, keeps insisting it isn’t, but won’t say why it isn’t.
NAF just quotes some of my posts, out of context, and says they’re scummy, and only after promising it… weak delivery

So, of all of these, only one of them is actually on stuff I did in game, and it was taken out of context. I guarantee you there’s scum on this wagon, and they probably want to lend credence to the reads when I come up town because the rest of the mess has scum finger prints on it.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if they want to save Scuba_Ben because what he said about his power boost is true, and lynching the guy that took the time to make the case against him, especially in light of all these reads will probably help him slip back out of suspicion until it’s all sorted out.

And for the sake of contributing what little I can, I targeted Giraffe last night, which I think is why he got the read of me, so whichever cop targeted me, that’s probably how your power works. Also, I have no idea what my power does, I didn’t get any response.

I probably won’t bother to check in again until Dusk, since there doesn’t seem to be a point.

I read it already, but just to humor you, I even went back and read it again just now. Nope, still not seeing what you’re seeing (yet). It’s true that “Just a vote–no explanation” isn’t the best way to play the game, but it’s hardly new. A few others did that in this game on Day One too…if you find one suspicious, you have to find them all suspicious.

As has already been said, I don’t think anyone is arguing that people aren’t telling the truth about the messages they got, I think it’s more of a matter that they are from random cops and we don’t know if they’re to be believed or not.

At the time I posted that, I had not yet seen the analysis of the messages. I have reevaluated and changed my position based on that analysis, especially the fact that two people received conflicting messages on gnarly.

At present, I agree that IF we have all four types of cops, two of them targeted gnarly and got different results. What just occurred to me is, one of the cops might have had two targets last Night. So Tomorrow I think it’s worth sharing information in this order: Who suddenly gets two targets for the next Night, who targeted me on N1, and who targeted on N2 the person claiming two targets for N3?

Did that make sense? Or am I channeling peeker? (that’s a joke son)

AOP @ pwnsall: That’s my inference. I had one target last Night; I have two targets Tonight (assuming I survive the Day).

Not just the one off vote with no explanation. It was the vote with no explanation, followed by the bad explanation later, and then topped by saying we should lynch someone who is probably going to wind up town (one of the claimed masons or one of the people who got a message.)
