Right, I saw a comment from you about that somewhere and forgot about it. I didn’t echo his comments; I wanted to know what he was referring to. I wanted to look myself but couldn’t manage it and asked him to point out posts himself. I gather from your post I didn’t just forget about it/miss it; that he never did.

(However, you’re wrong about the theft thing unless Drain Bead is lying somehow, because she claims to have been doubled by you for last night, and so were lilflower and I (by NAF).)

How could you have gotten 2 actions from NAF when he used that power on himself? That is what allowed him to target you and Lilflower, and my power appeared to return to me.

If you were doubled because NAF continues to pass on my power for multiple Nights, why didn’t lilflower get doubled?

This is much too inconsistent with how things appear to have unfolded.

lilflower did get doubled as far as I’m aware, or certainly shoudl have. Confirm please, lilflower? Because if you didn’t then there is something wrong.

Two nights ago NAF claims to have targeted you. As a result he gets your doubler power to use the next night (night three). That night you target Drain Bead. NAF targets me and lilflower. All three of us get our own powers doubled for the next night (night four). I did, Drain Bead claims to have, and I’m assuming lilflower did. That means both you and NAF succeeded on the night after he targeted you. What happened to you last night doesn’t matter to this.

Something just occurred to me, though it may be irrelevant now.
I (and others?) was assuming that the TexCat-Gnarlie team got one Kill per Night, but perhaps they only got a total of one kill altogether. That would explain why only one Kill mentioned “by multiple persons.” And since those Masons did not have a private board, but rather a single 24-hour window to communicate via PM, there would otherwise be no mechanic for them to agree on a Kill target. (Unfortunately I can’t find the message where the Masons’ kill power is mentioned to see how it was phrased.)

Why would you assume [LF 2.0 is Town]? It would be a conflict for a former Scum to return as Town, but I see no conflict with a Townie returning as Scum (or 3rd Party).

Although we’re playing for fun instead of money, wins do matter. I’m dead in De’endee Mafia but still hoping for Scum victory there. If Townie LightFoot came back as Scum she’d be playing against (another instance of) herself. (Maybe this line of thought is inappropriate metagaming.)

OTOH, there is precedent the other way. IIRC, on Idle’s board several months ago, Captain Pinkies was a Townie Lynched Day 1, and substituted back in as Scum. On the other other hand, however, in that game Pinkies was a Lurker Day 1 who may not have known the game had started, while LightFoot was heavily invested in this game.

What night? I’ve been roleblocked or unsuccessful every night I believe, so if you want to tell me what night you targeted me I can probably confirm your role. I didn’t want to out being roleblocked when it happened early game because I figured a wolf did it and didn’t want to give them the information.

“when you don’t actually NK me I’ll get lynched” feels self-conscious enough that if there is a wolf among the players named by Idle that are not NAF or Episkey, my first guess would be cracked quads.

I think you play the game differently.

I’m going to ignore everything Idle said after his claim because it’s WiFoM on top of WiFoM.

I mean, did he initially try to clear a Scumbuddy NAF and then go over the top trying to have him lynched so we’d think NAF was Town?

Or did he do it so that we’d think that he went over the top so that we’d think NAF was Town?

So, I can’t be sure if he was trying to protect a Scumbuddy NAF with his claim or if he was hoping to earn some Townie Cred by giving a positive result on NAF.

What I don’t like about NAF:

1. His continual smudging of me. He claims I seem scummy but hasn’t even given a metagame reason. He just puts it out there without any support, even acknowledging that he can’t think of anything I’ve done.
2. There is a wolf read on him. We’ve already had 2 false reads. (Gnarly and Blam, right?) how many false reads are out there? I have to believe that one of NAF or Episkey are true reads.
3. His power appears to be a ‘stealing’ power more than a ‘mimic’ power.
4. Idle identified NAF’s power before NAF did (I think) Tbat means he knew it either through a Scum investigation or because NAF is a Scumbuddy.

Yeah Idle’s spew can’t be taken at 100% face value, but they have more interaction than just idle being overenthusiastic about possibly lynching NAF. Before idle’s slip up he counterclaimed the NAF = wolf message and said he got one saying that idle was a villager. This was to save his scum buddy. His spew after he outs himself is just circumstantial evidence, but his counterclaim is, imo, proof that NAF is a wolf.

Lightfoot shouldn’t have any more information than us to help the wolves if she comes back as a wolf though. All of the people she claimed to have targeted are dead, and I doubt she ever got her masonry.

WRT to the wolf spew, he claims that I’m the next nightkill while I haven’t been around for a few days. Obviously I’m biased but I can’t imagine him saying that if I’m actually a wolf. If I’m a villager the wolves should actually be nightkilling me if IT is saying something true (that I will be NKed), and when I don’t end up actually being NKed, that gets the villages attention and I could be mislynched because of it. What’s the best thing an about to be dead wolf can do? Cause mislynches.

Actually the most likely outcome of any of Idle’s comments (save those on NAF and Episkey, because there are other reasons to believe they could be relevant) was that everyone would ignore them. That’s what normally happens when outed scum are blathering all over the thread: been there, done that, got the scars to prove it, and it’s fun, but it accomplishes little. However, scum in that situation usually do at least mention one or two of their teammates, because it feels wrong and conspicuous not to. You in turn are conspicuous for treating that comment as if it actually meant anything or ever would be likely to result in your lynch no matter how long you lived: guilty conscience.

There obviously is information to be gained from Idle’s spew and I don’t know why you would suggest otherwise. You do say that he’s likely to mention one or two, which is in line with NAF being a wolf.

When scum is blathering all over the thread, he’s not just spewing useless information. That wolf is still going to have inclinations about who he should mention and what he should stay, after all he still has a team to protect. That makes him more likely to talk about villagers and more likely to spew players as villagers. He’s going to be hesitant to mention wolves as he doesn’t know what we know and him outing conflicting/new information about his buddies will cause more lynches. So he focuses the majority of his posts on villagers. This shouldn’t even be up for debate.
