Mystery Mafia -- Game Thread

[oog]While this thread is busy, I’m going to take a moment to shamelessly plug this:
I’m going to start a mafia game tomorrow and see if we can run an entire game in just 3-4 HOURS.

Yes, hours. I’m taking a page from the POGer’s turbo games and want to see how it fares with this bunch. :stuck_out_tongue: POGers can feel free to play in it too, though.
So please sign up here, if you wish to play. (Please? Haha. I could use the players right now. I need about five-seven more)

I know some might be hesitant already being in a game of this size, but this (quick) game will mostly be mindless fun that will be over (probably) in three hours (since there will be THREE GAME DAYS in one hour).[/oog]

NETA: Holy crap, there were 46 posts while I was writing that!

It might be best if no one answered that.

I believe he claimed that he got a power boost so he gets two targets Tonight. Oh, and he also got a message just like the one Idle got that says that Silver Jan is Town. But I also believe he neither had anything to do with his actual power.

Damn, there’s something really bizarre going on, here but I can’t tell what it is. I’m gonna have to run through all the possibilities and see what makes sense.

SilverJan, did you tell us if your first target was dead? Sorry if I missed it.

Also I’d like to repeat my question on whether anyone else targeted gnarly last night?

Seriously Blaster Master? Seriously? :dubious:

You’re willing to kill off a potential Seer because you don’t believe her?

That has to be one of the most eyebrow-inducing plays I’ve ever seen. What logic are you having where you lynch the PERSON CLAIMING THEY’VE FOUND A WOLF over the ACCUSED WOLF themselves?

I don’t know what you’re on, but seriously, you want to obviously lynch gnarly here if EITHER of the two! If he’s Town, THEN lynch Jan…but if he’s wolf–well, yeah, that doesn’t automatically excuse her from being a wolf too–but it sure acts as a pretty big point in her favor.

I don’t really understand your reasoning to lynch the person reporting they found scum first.

I’m not one to like to use the “FOS” line, but, hell, FOS Blaster Master if I’ll ever FOS anyone.

My first target didn’t die that’s why I thought it could have been a redirect so I’m probably not a seer. I think I got a result that should have gone elsewhere.

Ah, I’m guessing it had something to do with this…

OK, if this is true and gnarlycharlie is a wolf, I strongly recommend we lynch peeker tomorrow: gnarly put a fourth vote on TexCat when there was a three-way tie between him, peeker, and Krayz (Town).

unvote peeker
vote gnarlycharlie

This logic is so terrible I can’t even find the words to describe it. If you don’t want to lynch gnarlycharlie, that’s totally cool (I don’t especially want to lynch him either), but suggesting that we resolve Silver Jan instead of forcing the wolves to do it is probably the worst play we can make.

I’d like to repeat that it might be best if no one answered that. If someone else targetted gnarly they possess a power that Town would probably like to keep.

I am confused. Why would a Detective role need to send two targets? And is there any concern that Silver Jan might indeed be Town but victimized by some misdirection? Nevertheless,

Unvote
**Vote: gnarlycharlie **

Should someone want to Protect Silver Jan, I’ll mention again that I felt protected last Night. (I assume this was inadvertent; that someone targeted me who hoped he/she was a Vig!)

enlarged and underlined for importance.

anybody who targeted septimus last night should target Jan tonight. Or maybe Pizza. But probably Jan.

True, but I still like to question everything. If **Jan **is going to be NK’d toNight (which is very likely), I think it’s good to get as much information as we can from her.

I wanted to wait for gnarlycharlie to wake up, and I have to be away for a couple of hours, but I think I need to explain now.

gnarlycharlie and I are masons. He targeted me last night. We are both villagers, per our role reveal from the mod to both of us. I know that someone targeted gnarly last night and it was not an investigative role. I’m sure gnarly will be along in a few hours to confirm this, and I will be back soon.

NAF also said he felt safe last Night.

If you’re both masons, why did he vote for you?

Let me be the first to say that this is bullshit.

Thanks.

NETA: That’s a serious question – I have never been a mason, but can’t imagine why that would be good strategy.

god damn my pony is slow. nice job giraffe.

This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between posts. Please try again in 35 seconds.

Damn, this is becoming confusing to follow.

I have to say, if it’s two scum claiming Mason, it’s a good play because it’s incredibly freaking risky.

Speaking as scum who has claimed Mason (with another scumbuddy), though, I know it’s sometimes a chance scum will take (I think it happened in another game too).

Huh.

If that’s true, then either:

  1. Silver Jan is lying on purpose
  2. Silver Jan got an incorrect result due to her being an insane cop or some other such role
  3. Silver Jan was fed wrong info (due to some other outside force/redirect/target).
