As the unofficial and unrecognized historian of the group, allow me to point new (to us) players in a couple of directions so they don’t get lynched on Day 1 like so many who are new to us but not the game do.
First, we have a wikiwhich explains a bit of our culture.
On preview as I was checking the link…the wiki seems to be down. I am not sure what to do about that right yet. It’s not my site. It looks like it got hacked and is in the process of being restored. I hope it gets fixed, a lot of time went into it.
Then we have a few games that I like a lot and that I think are good reads, several of them take place on forums that are not the SDMB but it’s all the same group of people.
1st: Batman
2nd: Cult of Seekham
3rd: You-Solve-It (might as well plug one of my games)
4th: Ragnarock
5th: Conspiracy #4
There are tons more, but these are the ones I am remembering most fondly right at the moment. Not necessarily the best, but the ones I enjoyed most either as a player or as a spectator.

I’ve basically finished the roleset pending the final number of players, and I’m pretty stoked about it. Hoya (MykBot) was a player in the game I’m modeling this on from the other forum, but there are enough differences that I don’t think he’s going to have much of an advantage based on that knowledge, whatever role he’s randed.
I think we have postings on every site we play on saying that you are recruiting. I’ll see if I can drum up some more interest though.

whenever i feel a wee bit out of sorts i just go back and read the final four pages of Day 4. perhaps the funniest and finest scum moments of all time. fake mason claims, vote shifting, confusion etc. this is the one to look at when someone says something along the lines of “scum would never do that”. oddest part is that we never got busted on it either. go figure. the next Day was comical as fool as well. coupled with dirx finally protecting me kind of cinches this as my favorite of all time.
But isn’t that the weird game where there were no masons and the scum were explicitly given mason cover roles?
I wouldn’t toot my horn too loudly over that one.
Yeah, I will second the not being on SDMB clause. I’ve heard of two of them, and Don’t recall which conspiracy I played in… but yeah I’m lacking in knowledge here.
Then again, if NAF can point to games I haven’t played in, and comment that those are his most fond moments, then that does kinda normalize me into the fold.
