All 50 in about 3 or 4 minutes
I just did it in my head starting at Maine and zigzag down and back up until I got all 50 in 3:13. I driven through a very large number of them and I think that makes it easier for me. That and I love maps.
I learned THAT SONG in 5th grade. Took me about 25 seconds to recite them.
It sure comes in handy in my job whenever I need to alphabetize a list of states.

I can still say them all in less than two minutes. When I was in 5th grade, the kids who misbehaved had to write the states and capitals as punishment. Well, I didn’t want the “bad” kids to know something that I didn’t, so I memorized the list even though I never had to write it all out.
I just timed myself rattling off every state in alphabetical order in 19 seconds.

Hey, I just did this earlier today. My friend and I have been doing a 50 states quiz since last year in an effort to improve our scores. I usually get them all in about 2.5 minutes, but I sometimes have a block with Missouri and Indiana.
