We got a pair of Dojo Loaches today and want some suggestions for names. As we have two, pairing names would be fun. So far, this is what our tank pets are named:
Orange and White Ryukin Goldfish: Lord Buttpluggington’s Tuffy Rumblebutt III
Pearlescent Ryukin Goldfish: Aloysius Pendergast
Crawfish: Klaus von Pinchenfinger
Freshwater Glass Shrimp: Amadeo Ebi
As you can see, we’re fond of naming them silly things because we don’t have to call them in or take them for walks and they don’t seem too embarrassed by it.
This just in! Apparently Acid Lamp also named our snails as well: The Golden Horde.
My first thought was “Link” and “Zelda”, showing how the games have warped my mind. Those seem a bit simplistic for your naming conventions, though.
Perhaps something like “Vir Maximus of Hyrule” and “Zelda Princepia of Hyrule”? (What little Latin I have is not merely rusty, but reduced to flakes of oxide.)
