Name rock stars who appeared on Star Trek

Not a rock star, but Wayne Coyne of Flaming Lips appeared in an episode of Enterprise–I think in the 3rd or 4th season.

I can’t substantiate this; his bio at Wikipedia and IMDB don’t mention any Trek. Cite?

I can’t think of any rock stars, but a few persons famous in other fields have made appearances. Basketball Hall-of-Famer James Worthy comes to mind (he played The World’s Tallest Klingon on an episode of TNG). I think astronaut Mae Jamison has been on, as well as physicist Stephen Hawking.

King Abdullah II of Jordan, a Trek fan, appeared as an extra in “Investigations” (Voy).

David Soul, later better known for Starsky & Hutch but who also was a one-hit wonder of a singer with “Don’t Give Up On Us, Baby,”

Wait a minute - no objection to David Soul yet James Darren is rejected? Granted James Darren was never the die-hard, rock-til-you-drop, “just turned 18 and I don’t mind dyin” type of rock star … but compared to David Soul he sure is.

It was on Trek Today or Trek nation or some such site. It may have been several members of the band as well.

Since I have never actually heard the band or been to any of their concerts, I did not know of their status beyond having heard their name here and there. No insults were intended.

Sure, they’re rock stars, but when did Wayne (or his cohorts) ever appear in a Trek TV show or movie? That’s what I can’t find a cite for.
