Names, Addresses and Phone Numbers for NAMBLA members

There is another message board that I post on that I will not name and someone started a thread about the North American Man Boy Love Association and about how if he ever sees one of these guys he will kick their ass and later on someone else put what was supposedly the real home phone numbers, work numbers and even addresses of real life North American Man Boy Love Association members.
As far as I know it has not been deleted so my question is if you saw this info what would you do with it?
I am well aware that all the numbers, etc probably have been changed by now but still would you use the info and if so how?

I can’t tell you how much I despise NAMBLA and EVERYTHING it stands for.

That being said, just because a name/addy/number is posted on an anonymous message board claiming said person is a member, does that REALLY mean that they are? Nothing like an asswhooping because some jerk put up your information to get back at you for something else and you’re not even a member.

: Singing (Ramblin’ Man tune):

“Lawd I was born a NAMBLA man!
Just tryn’ to love the young-uns and help 'em become young men…”

I’d ignore the list. I don’t want to meet any NAMBLA members. (heh heh…members.)

Anybody whose name ends up on a list like that, if put out onto a popular public forum, would probably be fairly seriously ruined for life.

If the person was wrongly accused, I wouldn’t want to add anything to his misery.

If he was correctly accused, I wouldn’t need to.

Some whacko found out my work telephone number and decided it would be a hoot to put it on an adult site with an ad about phone sex.

So, I started getting telephone calls from lots and lots of men–all of whom sobbing like little babies when I threatened them with litigation.

The moral of the story is: Don’t call numbers some moron posts on the internet or you could be the one who gets busted.

The only member I’m aware of is:

Eric Cartman
South Park, CO

Sorry don’t have a phone number.

Hmmmm, I think it’s 555-something.

Uhh, I think I just heard a giant wooshing sound somewhere over my left shoulder but… isn’t the whole “NAMBLA” thing a South Park joke? Do people really believe there’s a North American Man Boy Love Association?

Unfortunately not. It’s been around longer than South Park. I’m not sure when they came into existance, but I remember when I came out when I was 20 (I’m 31 now) that there were a couple members of NAMBLA that hung around the gay youth center that I went to. (They were banned, of course, but that didn’t stop them from visiting places in the vicinty). They also attempted to march in the pride parades as well. (I also hate the fact that they try and squeeze under the gay rights umbrella.)

They have a website! I… I had no idea.

Glad I’m not the one who had to break it to ya, Mixie. Here’s the Google results. Draw your own conclusions. (I’m not going to link directly to anything, for fear of violating the two-click rule. Read at your own risk.)

My dad’s a pediatrician. There’s another doctor on the other side of Tennessee with the same name who’s an abortion provider, a particularly scummy one if that matters. Back a few years ago when the crazy anti-abortion protesters were shooting abortion doctors and publishing lists of names, it’d often appear as (his name) TN. So of course the local news shows up at his office to gauge his reaction. They got him on air saying, “Don’t you think that’d be contraindicative to my business?”

Prepare to die.

No way. This is real?!

I’m with Mixie - I thought it was all a South Park joke too. Dammit! Again reality is even weirder than Matt and Trey! No wonder they’ll never lack for storylines.

Seriously? NAMBLA was majorly in the news a few years ago when the ACLU represented them. aclu.org should have several articles and court cases involving the organization.

Jesus, Mixie, let’s not encourage people to visit the NAMBLA website. Besides being morally reprehensible, it’s also NSFW, for those Dopers surfing from their place of business.

Sorry, I wasn’t aware that being morally reprehensible was grounds for link illegality.

Don’t worry, Mixie, I think most people are aware of what you were linking to before they click on it. You made it pretty obvious. I didn’t click on it cuz I don’t want to see their website.
NAMBLA’s gross. It’s bad enough that they have to do what they do, but they have to form a club saying how they’re proud of it? WTF?

Many years ago I met a guy who was in NAMBLA and we had one hell of a confrontation.

The only thing we agreed upon is that kids do discover their sexuality much younger than the legal age of consent. Gay or straight.

I told him fine and good - but they should discover it and act upon it only with kids their own age. Period.

For good reason, NAMBLA has been banned from every Gay Pride festival/parade and organization from day one.

When I went home and clicked on that site, I expected a bunch of man-boy porn. Seeing a serious site like that is FAR more disturbing.
