My birthday it the 14th, so I will probably have a family obligation that day. That Saturday it the 18th. I also vote for somewhere indoors, because it’s just too darned hot.

It may be possible to reserve a shelter at one of the parks if somebody takes the initiative for that. Some “family restaurants” may also have the possibility for reservations, too.
My own preference for time would be afternoon/evening, as early as 1:00 until whenever things fizzle out. It might even make sense to reserve two places, with one for early-comers and the other for the late-comers with times to start at both places. That would mean some busy work for somebody in the planning department.
Simplest planning would be a park shelter for the day. That would mean BYO food and drink, but least hassle about arrival times. It would also be a concession to the heat!
Just some more comments to work from. I will not be available for event planning. Just suggesting.
I’m with the folks who say it’s way to hot to meet outside that time of year when we have the choice of meeting inside.
I think I may have prior obligations on that day, but I will double check.
For some reason, the zoo seems like such an appropriate place…
Oh, Zoe- if you are going to be there, I would like to try to make it. (approx 5 hours away) I would love to meet you.
If possible I’ll try to make it, along with Mrs. Jackelope; her mom lives in Nashville (actually Spring Hill), and we need to pay her a visit anyway.

My boyfriend’s best friend is a musician in Nashville, so we visit a few times each year, but never find enough time for the zoo, so I’m doubly excited. We are checking schedules this week-end- should be able to confirm by Sunday. Looking forward to it!
I’ll be back from Maine on the 8th so it would be great fun to finally meet. Sadly my retail job makes me work every Saturday and the occasional Sunday. Saturdays I work until Six. Sometimes until five on Sunday, so if it starts later in the afternoon and I can come right over after work that would be great.
Do we wear name tags with our screen names or do we just guess? Please Email me to keep me updated. Sounds like fun.
