Well, I’m about 35 miles north of Nashvegas, so it’d be a bit of a drive, to say the least, if anyone south of here gave me a lift.
I’d suggest moving it a little closer to me (there’s a nice Greek/Italian place about 10 miles from here), so anyone who picked me up, wouldn’t have to make such a horrendous trip, but IIRC, drewbert’s also sans transportation so someone would have to either pick him up, or he’d not be able to go.
I am watching & listening.

Well, if we’re shifting it to close to me (Hendersonville), then I vote Demos’. For anyone coming to get me, it’s almost a straight shot from there to my place. If anyone would prefer some place else, you can find a listing of places in Hendersonville here.
Those of you coming from the south, take Vietnam Veterans Blvd from 65! It’s a straight shot to Hendersonville on that road, and is stupidly faster than going Gallatin Rd. If you take Gallatin from 65, add at least 30 minutes to your travel time.
I am not a huge fan of Demo’s, but on the other hand, I hate to be picky. Any chance you could recommend anything else? I looked at the list and didn’t recognize anything.
Well, in looking over the list, I can’t help but notice that it’s horribly out of date, as there’s several places in town that aren’t on there (sadly, the only one who’s name I can think of is Cheddar’s). I have heard mixed things about Italian Grill Cafe. It seems to be a love it or hate it kind of place. The Chinese places that I’ve eaten in are definitely nothing fancy (but good food). Empire Buffett, Fortune House Chinese Restaurant, New China Buffet, Peking House, and The Golden Dragon are largish places, rather than the small kind tucked into a strip mall. Loco Lupe’s has the nickname “Loco Poope’s” for some reason. IIRC, places like Mallard’s, which have a “meat and 3” menu tend close early (live 5 PM). Grand Stands is a family friendly sports bar. Food’s about average. I will note that when I was last there, the bathrooms were unheated and drafty, so that might be a deal breaker.
Goodlettsville is a bit farther down the road (but closer to Nashville) and has more places to eat. I’m not familiar with any of the local ones, so unless it’s a chain I’ve eaten at, I can’t comment on the quality.
Alright, can we agree on Friday evening for NashDope? Admittedly, We’d prefer to have it in Nashville, but if there’s a bar/restaurant of particular reknown or reputation towards your place, Tuckerfan, we’re interested in that, too.
We’ll have access to the Web the whole vacation.
I should be able to make Friday almost any local place. Someone needs to pick somewhere, though.
