National Weather Bureau Forgets...?

Well, the local spokesman for the National Weather Bureau claims it’s been something like 30 years since we (Mid-Atlantic) has seen significant snow fall in early Dec. (I refer to a modest six-inch covering a few weeks prior to the big Xmas storm blanketing a good portion of the Mid-West to New England regions.) However, I clearly recall a 4-6 in snow in late Oct/early Nov in the Fall of 1987 for the Mid-Atlantic region. This event, although rare, came at a point of certain major events in my personal life thereby bringing heightened awareness to remember this clearly. Plus, finding a way home and getting stuck in it was murder. You don’t forget these things…

Just wondering if another Mid-Atlantic SDoper recalls…
Thanks,

P.S.: 50x :smack: with wet noodle if post bumps to IMHO - my deepest apologies!

Uh, Jinx, I don’t know if this is important or not, but late Oct/early Nov is not early Dec. IHTH

RM, ah-yes! I mis-worded it…excuse, me! They (Weather Bureau) really meant any snow in young Dec or earlier. This was quite a surprise snowfall. If I have to, I’ll research it on my own.
