We broke a record !!!

Metro (Detroit) Airport offically got 3.1" of snow last night. We only got a light coating up here, but still, this winter is now officially the Snowiest Winter on Record[sup]TM[/sup], breaking a record that goes back to the winter of 1880-1881.
I’m so f’ing sick of snow…

The central Rockies got 15-18 inches Sunday. Another storm is on the way for Wednesday. I’m running out of room to plow it to.

I’m used to it, but this time of year is always a little tough. Last week it was reaching into the 60’s. Yesterday morning it was 0F. A wopping 16F this morning.

I’m tired of people complaining about the snow. They keep saying the same thing over and over like a broken record.

Congratulations. We received another inch of global warming snow and cold temps in the NW Chicago area also.

Snow is a good thing. It adds to the water tables.

Seriously what the ever loving fuck. It’s mid April and yesterday it was a lovely sunny 20 degree day. Today it’s freezing and snowing.

Snow is a good thing in December, January heck I’ll even give you February but April is just wrong. WRONG!

except it’s no longer winter. it won’t be recorded as a winter snow storm.

Wow…its still snowing in some places… @_@

More shocking because last week it was almost 70F here. We got maybe an inch of snow (it was mixed precipitation)

This is what is going to convince people that “Global Warming” is a real thing, isn’t it? Not Al Gore. SNOW IN MID-APRIL is what’ll do the trick.

Thunderstorms yesterday and last night. Flood watch.

8am this morning: 62 degrees. 1pm: 49. And still falling. Freeze warning tonight.

Hardly a record, of course, but fairly odd here for this time of year.

The severe weather map at Weather Underground was a mess yesterday. Still a lot of stuff right now, but better. (And curse you new-owner The Weather Channel: the “new and improved” design is slow and ugly. Just great.)

It’s not as though snow in mid-April is all that damned unusual. There’s a reason that they tell people not to plant frost sensitive plants until mid to late May.

Damn you Al Gore! First you invent the internet, then you invent global warming! Curse you!

An hour north of you in Genesee county and we also broke the record previously held since 1974-75. Also, number of days below freezing, number of days below zero and number of consecutive days with snow on the ground. So NOW I AM READY FOR SPRING, DAMMIT!

Yes, it will. The snow year runs July 1 - June 30. “Winter” is often used instead of “season” colloquially for obvious reasons, but any snow that falls before July 1 would be included in this snow season.

Temps in the 80s all this week here in Sacramento.

This is just one of the reasons I moved from the mid-west to a warmer climate. Celebrating snow in mid April? Jeepers Creepers.

English midlands, no snow settled in over a year.

My SIL just posted a photo of his snow-covered backyard in Brooklyn. We had the same in Montreal, but that’s not unusual. But yesterday’s high was 16C and if we get above 0 today, it will be just barely (4PM temp -.3). They just cancelled a baseball game in Minneapolis on account of snow. Well, they wanted an open-air stadium.

I recently moved to Tennessee from Michigan. I’m so so so glad I missed this winter! (In Michigan, that is.) :B

They forecasted 7 - 10 inches of snow for my area, and we only got about an inch.

Still, Winternity will never end.
