It mildly irked me how much they were cutting back and forth to and from the Duke-Belmont games. I wanted to see talking, hear the commentators, look at plays that could be run.
I was cheering hard for the upset!

When the Duke game started, I was disappointed that I didn’t get to see the USC-Kansas State game since I was interested in seeing those 2 freshmen.
I’m glad that I wasn’t getting cut in and out of the last few minutes of the game.
So, after 1 day, 8 folks are tied for 1st with 15 out of 16. Smart pickin’ guys! Stupid USC!
8 out of 10 of us have 15/16.
In my work pool, 8 of us also have 15/16, But there are 70 people in that pool.
I’m “happy madness” by the way.
Hey, I’m doing better than I ever have before!
Which still puts me in last place…
I’m 13 of 16. I should have entered my wife’s bracket - she only missed the Kentucky game!
Of course, she’s going to lose in the end because she picked North Carolina to beat Kansas.
My brother did the same thing (re: USC) whereas I had K State going to sweet 16 so one of us was in trouble.
On a different note, despite the loss, Budinger played alright for Arizona, no? I really thought I’d get one round out of him and Bayless… Ah well, you can’t win 'em all.
That Duke game was something else. My brother and I were screaming at the TV when Nelson missed that free through. Great game though.
Also, anybody remember the last time both Arizona and Kentucky got knocked out in the first round? The times, they are a changin’
Ah, the morning after the first day of the tournament, when everyone’s picks still look pretty good!!!
I’ll do ya one better: SC to the final 4. :smack:
Well today is looking much brighter at least at this point as all of my morning picks are winning but then again I only have 1 upset this morning. KEEP ON SUCKING MIAMI!!!
Point the first - With Comcast, I have all 4 games available to me on the TV thanks to the HD channels in the 800s. This is officially the best tourney of all time just because I can see everything at all times.
Point the second - between Stephen Curry and the ending of Drake and Western Kentucky, I can’t think of the last time I’ve had a more enjoyable hour of basketball to watch.
That ending was wonderful one of the best games I’ve seen in a while. On a down note I just went 1-3 on this mourning’s games.
We’ve got 40 people in our office pool. I was browsing through their brackets and I think 35 had either North Carolina or UCLA to win it all, with teams like Kansas, Georgetown, and Tennessee in the final 4.
My bracket looks nothing like that.
So either I’m going to win this thing in a runaway or come in somewhere like second to last place. (Prolly the latter!)
I’m tied for ninth in our little pool here, and I’m tied for first in my office pool. I’m feeling pretty comfortable at the moment. Thank you, Davidson.
Good news: 18/20
Bad News: one of them I had going to the final four.
I love march. It’s my favorite month.
yup,I aint looking to good.Drake going to the final four wasn’t that good a choice.
Nor was Vandy to the title game.
Well, I’ve got Duke over WVU today, but I will be rooting like crazy for my Mountaineers. I’m afraid that after the near beating that Duke took the other night that Coach K will have his team running like a finely tuned engine. I look for a spanking today, but will be cheering the loudest if we win…
Damn clemson and stupid UCONN have killed me all the way to the Elite 8, but I’m sitting pretty otherwise. I’m in 2nd right now, but this weekend is going to make or break me.
Once again, the state of Florida screws the entire nation.
