Well that was quite a surprise! Until the last 30 seconds it certainly seemed like Tony was being set up to be terrorized by threats of harm to his love interest. And it turns out she’s the daughter of the Frog!
Looking forward to the next season. Hoping that the Director gets killed off! She is the only recurring character that has zero personality or interest for me.
What do you think of Ziva’s dilemma?
Thanks for starting the thread – I was just thinking about this. Big ol’ twist in the last few seconds – totally didn’t see it coming until the limo door opened.
I don’t think the director is going too soon – there’s this whole thing about her father to unravel. Whaddya think – is he dead or alive? Is someone – her father or someone else – just gaslighting her?
What happened to Gibbs’s new gf, btw?
We knew Director Jenny had been using Tony but I didn’t know her vendetta went so far as to have him fall in love with Dr. Tadpole, just to keep tabs on the Frog. Director Jenny really needs to be fired or fired upon. Whichever.
You think that was her doing? How did Tony and Dr. Tadpole meet in the first place? (I missed a chunk at the beginning of the season.)
I don’t recall that their meeting was ever part of the script. Tony just began acting lovey-dovey and kept referring to his new love.
He has been on his “super dooper secret mission” for Her Holiness Jenny all season so it’s just in the realm of possibility that this was a setup by Jenny to get him into the Froggies inner circle. I seem to recall that in several different episodes this year the photo of the Frog was prominently displayed on their large screen projector - so Tony should know him by sight.
Who said Le Frog wouldn’t kidnap his own daughter?
Wait a second – how did Tony meet the Frog Princess? This is starting to seem like one hellacious coincidence.
Should’ve seen that coming. Jeanne’s French, La Grenouille’s French–until she said “Papa”, I had no idea. :smack: Mrs. Know, OTOH, said “uh-oh” as soon as the limo pulled up.
Jenny has really gotten tiresome. I’d love to see her go and be replaced by Tobias Fornell! That would be sweet! I love the back-and-forth between him and Jethro!
One question: why the big secret between Palmer and Agent Lee? They don’t even work in the same department . Gotta say, though, that their sneaking off for quickies have been some of the most entertaining moments this season.
Ziva in love with Tony? Hell, noes! Like McGeek and Abby, they’re much better off as friends and colleagues! Besides, Abby’s in love with only one person at NCIS–Gibbs!
They settled that a couple of eps ago. She’s apparently going to move in with Gibbs, judging from his comment to her about “your bathroom”.
I’m actually really tired of the whole Frog plotline. I don’t dislike Jenny, per se, I just dislike the whole situation. For some reason, I just don’t find it interesting.
I’m guessing Jeanne has to be the secret project Tony’s been working on all season, and I absolutely can’t believe I didn’t call the relation ages ago. I feel like I’m slipping.
She’s was somehow connected to his undercover work (which is now clear) he was supposed to meet her and get close to her - but why never made much sense. Then he accidentally fell in love with her and had a crisis of conscience about halfway through the season because she was supposed to be just a target.
We just kind of went along with it because it was NCIS and NCIS plots never make sense. The French name should have been a clue. I just thought she was some kind of secretly evil person herself…
That was also kind of lame for a finale, that seemed like a “next to last episode” to me.
FTR, it wasn’t until I read this thread that I realized the Tadpole Princess’s name is Jeanne, and not Sean.
The twist at the end took me completely by surprise, because I was positive that Dr. Benoit was being given just enough screen time to make us care when she got iced in the season finale.
The crisis in the hospital seemed like a perfect opportunity to ice her, too. And when THAT didn’t happen, when I saw the limo pull up, I assumed someone was going to whip out a machine gun and she was going to step in front of Tony – a callback to earlier in the episode, when Tony told her to get behind him – to heroically save him from the bullets. Then both he AND Jenny could go all crazed-with-revenge on La Grenouille.
