Speaking of which, I’ll be a bit late. 7, 7:15, somewhere around there.
Have a lovely time. My husband is performing in a concert tonight, so I regret that I cannot attend. Cheers to all and thanks to BMalion for the invitation.
It figures I’d get more after hours support issues than any day in the last 3 months today.
I was really looking forward to that.
Hope ya’ll had (or are having) a wonderful time. I fell asleep so no crank calls from me.
Sticks and Scones and I pooped out fairly early, but while we were there, at least, a wonderful time was being had by all.
Many thanks to our gracious host and to them that brung all the delicious comestibles.
Pics to follow as soon as I get them off my phone.
Yinz Ohioans sure are a welcoming bunch. Thanks for having me and big thanks to our host BMalion.
I’m really glad I didn’t park on the Devil Strip, er, Tree Lawn, er, Verge…you know, the grassy strip by the curb.
Does the idiot with the leafblower at 8:45 in the morning not know that there was a DopeFest last night and that some of us are skipping church and trying to sleep in before heading down to the Stuttgart Opera House for work? Had a fabulous time last night. Thanks, Bmalion for hosting! It was great to see everyone and I’ll post pictures as soon as my head stops pounding…from all the percentages flying back and forth! I hope there is no follow-up quiz on the comparison of alcohol percentages in all the beers present, or an essay question on reference beers…and it is good to know that even after all these years, the devilstrip discussion shows no sign of slowing!
Cleveland Dopers are the best! It was great to be back. Good conversation, good times.
Not many photos, but here they are. I added captions in the comments section, but you have to scroll down to see them.
Excellent comments.
Now, about that Manhattan sandwich …
Oh, speaking of the tree lawn or whatever the heck it is, I asked my Western PA-born mother what they called it growing up. She said that they never even had the thing itself, and so had no need for a name for it.
You guys are the best.
Thank you!
Had a great time! Many thanks again to our talented chefs, and to our charming host, BMalion.
I must retract my description of the horse chestnut burr. I was thinking of the American chestnut burr.
However, I stand by my statement about Ohio buckeyes in Ohio. Yellow buckeyes are definitely more common in southern Ohio and Kentucky, but there are plenty of Ohio buckeyes around here.
It was so nice meeting everyone!
I’m going to plant a buckeye tree in my devil strip!
I can’t imagine a better place for one.
Ditto.

Nah, you should plant it in the tree lawn.
Hopefully, here at last are the photos I took.
