I have an early flight out of Midway Aug 31st. I will be out of the country for a week, so I need to park somewhere also. The cheapest hotel I’ve found around there is about 150.00 including the parking. Does anyone know a cheaper way to pull this off?

I don’t really understand your situation. You actually need the hotel or just the parking?
There are plenty of hotels around here a lot cheaper than $150/night (try expedia.com), and the economy lot at midway is $9/day.

Dirty’s right. $150/night is insane for a hotel in that part of town. That’s where I come from, and I can tell you there’s plenty of cheap motels in that area. Archer Avenue in particular has a few.
I’m sorry. I’m really blanking on names, but I can tell you a couple of locations: There’s one on Cicero and Archer. There’s another motel on Pulaski a few blocks south of Archer. Somewhat across the street from the Jewel’s. (Truckers often rest here.) Also, there’s one on Archer just east of Pulaski, on the north side of the street.
I wish I could be more specific, so you could call in advance, but I’m absolutely blanking on names. These motels should be less than $50 a night (I’d suspect around $30, but I’ve never actually been.)
Oh, found one. Skylark Motel. That’s the one on Archer and Cicero, IIRC. (5435 S. Archer.) Phone 773.582.2100. Apparently it’s around $50. Seems a bit high to me, but it’s been awhile.
Ah, found another. The one east of Pulaski is Tangiers Motel. 773.582.0900.

Also try: Sportsman’s Inn on 4501 S. Cicero, 773.582.3700. Not the most elegant neighborhood, but should suffice.
If you just need parking for the duration of your trip, use Midway long term, or a remote lot.
And I agree, $150/ night for a hotel/motel is bull.
I think the Hilton in Oak Lawn is about half that price, with free parking. Not far from Midway except when there’s a lot of traffic.
