Okay fellow Big Brother fans, I need help planning a little get-together I’m throwing for the finale. I know I still have several weeks, but considering the people I know (rather flaky), the sooner I let them know the score, the more likely anyone will actually show up.
I’m looking for canapes and cocktails that I can sort of parlay into the Big Brother theme…stuff like “backstabbing”, “evictions”, “houseguests”, etc. So far the only idea I’ve had is Deviled eggs - in honour of my beloved Will, who is, in fact, the Devil. Dumb, I know - see why I need help?
Thoughts?
So I suppose serving slop is out of the question? Or Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?
Have a couple of nice bottles of wine or something and have people compete in a “food competition”.
You just have to have a party bag with plasitc knives for stabbing each other in the back.
Food?
Hrmm.
Pigs in a blanket? (you could have two pigs in a blanket togther).
Maybe you could just theme the layout (a cheese ball tray that is designed to resemble a camera, Oh, I don’t know, I guess I’m no help on this one.
If you want an international Big Brother theme, you could always serve turkey-slap sandwiches! They are apparently very popular in Australia!
I did think of slop, but when I mentioned it my husband pulled a Face and asked me how I expected to pull that off.
I didn’t think of PB&J though, although unfortunately the people I’m getting together with, with the exception of Mr. Bunny and myself, are recent BB converts and probably wouldn’t get the reference.
I love the plastic knife idea!
Keep 'em coming…
I was thinking banners that read “War is Peace”, “Freedom is Slavery”, and “Ignorance is Strength”, but I think you’re on to something there.
Margaritas, inspired by their margarita party (they also had Mexican food). Sushi, maybe (from this week’s veto)?
Also, Chicken George has chicken necklaces available for sale on his website (chickengeorgerocks dot com). They’re something like $6 apiece, I think. Might make a nice prize if you do any games. A light saber would be fun to have around too.
