Need opinion on my Halloween costume idea

Having Googled for creative DIY ideas, I’ve decided I’m going to be “an identity crisis” for Halloween. Plan is to slap a bunch of those “hello my name is” stickers on me and write different names on them. Probably will wear my hair down on one side and either in a braid or pigtail on the other, and perhaps have some sort of mismatched outfit going on.

Here’s where I’m a bit stuck…a friend suggested that my idea lends itself more to being “multiple personality disorder” and that I should instead put different professions on the stickers. I’m actually okay with ending up being multiple personality disorder, but I wanted some more opinions on the matter. TIA!

I think that would be interesting. Whenever someone asks what you are, you can say “I don’t knooooow!!!”. Yeah, thatll never get old…

Not so sure about writing different professions instead, though. Do people ever write professions on their “Hello, my name is ____” stickers?

OTOH, if I ran into that, I’d probably think you were an Eminem lyric.

But ignore me; I rather hate those rebus/word salad/*sui generis *costumes and prefer the traditional ones.

we need more information…
you mentioned the name tags, you mentioned the hair style, etc etc…But these are minor details.
The BIG ISSUE , which is much , much more important to the success of how people see your costume is…
how much beer will they have had first?

Ahh, a perfectly respectable question. There will be much consumption of alcohol at this party.

I think nametags with professions would confuse me, seeing it without further context. E.g. are you a “jack of all trades”? Then why the weird hair? etc.

Perhaps use names, but with a question mark at the end: “Hello, my name is Mark?” “Angie?” etc. Names are more closely tied to identity, for me.

I also really like the “I don’t knnoooooooowwwww!” response to anyone who asks who/what you are?

Ooh, good call on the question marks!
