I just heard Sen. George Allen (R. Va) make a hilarious statement on Hardball.
Allen steered the interview about Tony Snow’s appointment as Press Secretary around to the subject of what to do about illegal immigration. Allen said that the President’s approach of finding a way to legitimize the 11 million or so already here “rewards lawbreakers.”
He went on to say that Snow listens to the same average citizen that he, Allen, hears from and that average citizen doesn’t want law breakers rewarded. He continued by saying that he hopes that Snow can get this White House back on track.
