How old is your older daughter? I was just barely eight when my brother was born and there are some really cute pictures of the two of us around somewhere. I was so happy when he got here. She reminds me of me!

Thanks everyone for the congratulations and compliments! I do agree, Chloe is pretty darn cute. I can’t decide if I like the million dollar smile, or the goofy impish smile better.
She is doing so well, loving on her sister and helping us out, but I know it is wearing on her at some level. Two nights ago her selections for bedtime stories were “Breastmilk Makes My Tummy Yummy” (she weaned during the pregnancy), and “Sophie and the New Baby,” which she paraphrased today: “Everything at our house has changed for me with Baby Claire here,” she said. We are trying to make sure and love on her especially these days and give her some one-on-one time.
Claire is happy and healthy. Yesterday was our home visit, and she lost only 4 ounces from her birth weight, and generally impressed the hell out of the midwife. Now, if she would sleep for more than an hour at a time in the cosleeper . . .

My niece was four when her brother was born. Took her quite a while to adjust to her new reality.
