new Burn Notice on tonight! (3June10)

Mix me a mojito, Burn Notice is back on tonight! There’s a clip on this link. http://www.usanetwork.com/series/burnnotice/

Well I’m excited, even is noone else is.

Amazing how quickly Mike segued back into his old life. Format trumps everything else I guess…

It’s sitting on my DVR, and I can’t friggin’ wait. I don’t care that it’s total fluff, it still gives me the giggles.

Liked it, and I think the new direction the show seems to be headed in could be interesting. I like that the show is evolving, rather than keeping to the same formula each season.

But damn, Fiona’s looking leathery nowadays. Girl, eat a few sandwiches and use sunscreen, please.

I somehow missed last season - Is there going to be an overall story arc?

Bunny Colvin from Baltimore’s done pretty well for himself. All-in-all I was about as confused as to the biker storyline as Michael, and was quite pleased when that wrapped up early. Did enjoy the setup for the apparent season-long arc.

The second half of last season was basically being about Mike working for some very bad guy on a secret project, that ended up being breaking some guy out of jail named Simon. Simon was a very bad guy. Everything bad about Mike in his burn notice was actually stuff that Simon did. Simon ended up saving Management from Simon, so now he’s working for them finding out who’s behind the guy who wanted Simon out.

I liked the ironic twist of how Michael does to the new operative pretty much what was done to him in the premise of the show.

Fiona looks like she had several collagen injections over the break!

I think it’s too late for sunscreen. Her skin is wrecked. Plus, she’s at least 15 pounds under weight. She’s looking worse every season.

Just watched the last couple of episodes on Hulu. Did you notice they added Coby Bell to the credits as a regular?

I’m glad they’ve added a new character as the show’s getting a bit repetitious. I wish they’d bring Tyne Daly back as Madeline’s friend as well as she’s responsible for some of my favorite moments on the series. Agree that Gabrielle Anwar looks bad- hard to believe that 12 pound body has squeezed out three kids.

That was very enjoyable - all the character developments were totally believable. Fi actually has some chemistry with Jesse, too, which could be interesting.

I really really really don’t understand how Jesse got burnt over Michael using his computer to look at the files, though. A place like that would have cameras all over the place - it’d be easy enough to prove he wasn’t at the computer at that time. Sure, maybe they’d suspend him while investigating it, but complete burning?

If the government is burning people over teeny tiny things like that, it’s a wonder they’ve got any spies left at all.

Oh, and burning him to the same extent as they did Michael, even though Jesse’s supposed to have sneaked a peek at one file and Michael’s supposed to be one of the biggest mass-murderers in history? Of course, if they really thought Michael had done all the bad things in Simon’s file, there’s no way they would have let him run around free in Miami at all. That’s a terribly weak plot point. But, even with that wobbly foundation, the general plotarc is building up well.
