Just got a new kitty! We’ve seen him around for the last few months, and decided not too long ago we’d like to keep him. We got our current cat vaccinated last week, and were going to wait two weeks to bring him in, but he showed up Monday & he’d had the crap beat out of him 
I tried to bring him inside then, but he got upset when I tucked him into my coat ( I wonder if someone dumped him by putting him in a bag) :mad:
Anyway he came back tonight & we’ve got him quarantined. He’s such a beautiful kitty, and so so sweet!! His name is Augustus (Gus for short) & he’s Orange and striped and white and lovely. He will be taking a trip to the vet tomorrow.
(And yes, I know the rules. We JUST got him, but I will see if I can get a pic tomorrow!)

Thanks everybody! He certainly is a loving kitty! I’m so tickled to have a lap cat at last. I hope everything is ok at the vet too, we’re having him tested for Lukemia & FIV. Please pray/keep your fingers crossed/send mojo/whatever it is you do. I totally think he’s a cutie!

Yeah, that’s actually a result of the fight he was in, poor baby. It’s a lot better than it was.
He looks like a combo of both our cats! <who are littermates> Hope he’s as affectionate as ours are; bless you for taking him in. 
Thank you to all who have posted in this thread. Sadly, the news at the vet wasn’t good, and our sweet Augustus had to be put to sleep, due to diagnosis of FIV.
Still, I’m glad I met him. Please give your furbabies a skritch from us.

I’m sorry to hear this. I’ve gone through it myself, and it’s never easy to make that decision. You get all excited about a new kitty, and then you get the news.
My condolences. At least kitty knew warmth and kindness with you.
I think, when I have the money, I’m gonna get another rescue In his memory (one that had been tested)
