New Enterprise tonight! Daedalus -SPOILERS-

Glad I’m not the only one who thought this was a TERRIBLE episode. It’s not even original. Good thing Archer sacrificed one of his crew, and put the entire ship in danger in order to let a crazy old guy retrieve his dead son. He should be court martialed. So should the writers.

*Enterprise *is going to be sunk by the new Battlestar Gallactica unless the plots get A LOT better. You heard it here first.

Is *BSG *on the same night as Enterprise? I’m interested in it but I’ll have to draw a line if it’s actively against and might lead to the demise of ENT.

You don’t come between a Trekkie and his Hos… er, Trek.

Enterprose is at 7:00 CST and BG at 9:00.

???

What a piece of work is man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals!
To be, or not to be: that is the question.
The play’s the thing wherein I’ll catch the conscience of the king.
What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?
Cry “Havoc,” and let slip the dogs of war.
I am a man more sinned against than sinning.
The game is up.

from memory only, some of the best Shakespeare prose from Trek

It’s “if you prick me, do I not bleek?”, Clueless.

I’m baaaa–aaaaack!

I don’t even want to think about what you think I might be thinking.

This is heading me a giveache!

NCB: T’Pol couldn’t have dealt it, because it’s not as if she ever eats anything.

Hey, these rewrites were so much better than the show.

Aes: This week’s ep. features much Hoshi!

This week, meaning Daedalus, or this week, meaning the week that started yesterday?

Still, not bad. I only had to double check the 'what a peice" quote for the ending line. And I didn’t arse myself to double check even one bit of the Trek-i-sodes they were used in, and I still only got the one nit. Truth be told, I was debating with myself as to whether to use the real line or the Trek line, since it was Enterprose that set the whole post up in the first place.

Viva’s comments are referring to the show for January 21, 2005.

Ah. Good. I was going to be dissapointed if this episode was finally the one that we got to see lots of Hoshi in.

The Mirror Univerase (feh, alternate universe) episode has GOT to have Trip kill Archer. Even though it’s a Reset-Button episode, it would be so much fun.

Okay, the acting sucked, but I liked the episode in general.

tarragon918 - I think we’ve seen the effects of Delta radiation in Star Trek before - if I’m not mistaken. I seem to recall it as having a cellular disrupting effect. That’s why the twisty face.

The previews look like an Obsessoin commercial between Mayweather and Reed; and Hoshi looks like she’s either comatose, dazed, or a zombie. Either way I can’t see much acting; just weird lighting effects (with spooky-music[sup]tm[/sup]). From the production report (see below) I’m also afraid that some of this “great acting” is going to occur when the characters are possessed by the aliens, and thus the character development becomes a Reset-Button.

Again, why do the writers have to connect with “Trek History” in every freakin episode? Connection to a viral infection? The Psi-2000 Bug was redone in Next Gen so it better not be that. Maybe it’s “The Andromeda Strain”?

Did you catch the comment in the StarTrek production report? It was “As mentioned in the last production report, bottle shows are scheduled every now and then to give the crew and the budget a rest, but they also compel the writers to come up with stories that are strictly character-based and focus more attention on the principal cast. In this case, all seven of the actors have a significant role.”

Heaven fobid we compel the writers too much!

Hell yes.
Preferably with a blunt object.

The Bermaga’s storytelling aesthetic?

Not the same time, and both are repeated during the week. I just think the there’s a large overlap in audience, and as that audience gets exposed to GOOD sci-fi, they’ll lose interest in the bad stuff.

Terrible, terrible acting–Bill Cobb, was was great in “The Hudsucker Proxy” and “Always Outnumbered” didn’t even seem to be trying, and all of those odd closeups suggested the director wasn’t trying all that hard.

I stopped watching ENT after the first season, came back briefly at the end of the 3rd and thought the show was improving, though it was still a disappointment all around. BTW, the UK magazine SFX is reporting an inside source known as “Trekspy” claims the show will be cancelled in March.

Ow!

That’s “anesthetic”.

Well, now the report of ENT’s demise is being debunked as a false rumor.

We know what it is, like Churchill we are merely haggling over the price.
