Oooh, last year they gave me Dark Knight for my birthday, this year I get Harry Potter? Very niiiice.
July 18th is fine by me
I’ve been wondering this myself. Could it be Ginny? Looks red haired.
Just before that scene, the one with the girl in the red coat soaring into the air, what is this scene? It looks like it is either at Hogsmeade or outside of Hogwarts.
At the 1:57 mark there is a white-gray haired woman looking in the mirror. Narcissa Malfoy?
Katie Bell after she opened the package opening the cursed necklace.
I don’t think she’s looking in a mirror, but maybe she is. I guess she is Narcissa asking Snape to help Draco. The ring looks like the ring on one of the hands that appears very briefly in a shot showing two hands engaged in the Unbreakable Vow (the Unbreakable Vow shot is from another trailer.)
Haven’t you seen “A League of Their Own”?
For the truly hardcore, a “behind the scenes featurette”:

Count Dooku and Saruman disagree with you.
Baseball in America during World War II was a wee bit different, as the Nazis weren’t exactly knocking on America’s doorstep.
The UK, however, is a very small place, and the Death Eaters seem to have the ability to zip around where ever they please. Frankly, I’m surprised it takes Voldemort two full years to attack Hogwarts after he gets his body back.
Trailers three and five are the best, each in their own respects.
Three is the more jovial “fun” parts of HP, along with tastes of the action and “darkness” of the movies/series.
Five I think has the best mash-up of the darkness and action, although I have to say the scenes with Hermione hitting Ron, and the cheesy voiceover takes some of the drama away.
Either way, can’t wait to see the movie (unfortunately I have to see it by myself cuz of lack of friends )
Thank you.
Hogwarts was protected by charms and spells, which was one of the reasons Voldemort “recruited” Draco (that and punishment for Lucius’ failure).
Three nights ago I had a dream about this movie. No, a nightmare.
I dreamed that TPTB behind Movie 6 decided they didn’t want this movie to be sad, or upsetting, or violent. So the entire movie was nothing more than Harry going to classes and Harry playing Quidditch.
And I’m dreaming I’m sitting in the theater watching this movie and thinking, "No! No! NOOOOOOOO!
In OOTP they didn’t show Lucius’s arrest, and it’s vital to HBP, so I’m guessing that they’re just going to mention it as a “you know Lucius was arrested and…” thing. The one I still can’t believe they left out (unless it’s in a deleted scene) is Umbridge sending the Dementors, but I don’t recall that being important to HBP.
Is there anything else left out of OOTP that’s really important to this one? Kreacher provides some back story on the locket and the potion that protected it but they could conceivably do away with that altogether (just have the locket in the chalice be the right one I suppose).
Also, they seem to be going to pains to not show Dumbledore’s wounded right hand in the trailers and Gambon won a green glove during the filming, so it must be something truly gruesome.
I’m surprised it’s rated PG, as the last couple of films were rated PG-13.
Or they could put it in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie (one of them), the way Rowling did in the book.
When Order of the Phoenix was first being released, the production team (not sure if it was on the writing or directing side, but no matter) mentioned in an interview that their original plan was for Kreacher to be left out of the screenplay. But Rowling vetoed this idea because of the fact the Kreacher had a crucial role to play in the last book, and she was going to want to see him in the last movie. So, I’m pretty sure that Kreacher’s Tale will be in there.
