New Ke$ha album "Warrior" coming on December 4!

After a long wait, Kesha’s new album titled Warrior will finally be released on Tuesday December 4 (76 short days from now)! If that’s too long for you to wait, her new single “Die Young” comes out next Tuesday. I’ve been in serious withdrawal, as her last single (“Blow”) came out in February 2011. Hopefully she’ll announce her next tour before long. Get ready for Ke$ha to rule the charts and the airwaves once again!

I didn’t even realize until now that I miss her.

Ke$ha is still alive? Who knew!

Well her drunken whore gimmick is mostly an act.

WTFC=Who the Fuck Cares.

On a larf I looked up the music video for Blow. That video is almost as awesome as that Korean thing going around. For the uninitiated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFWX0hWCbng

I don’t know why I like Kesha. It’s as inexplicable as that music video.

And here I was hoping she had died of an infection caused by gingavitis.

Relevant.

If you don’t care about the topic of a thread, don’t post in it. Coming into a thread to say shit like this is considered threadshitting. Don’t do it.

I’m looking forward to it. I unashamedly like pop and dance music, the producers on her previous albums and remix album are quite good, and she’s got ‘moxie.’ I burned out on Lady Gaga pretty quickly, Katy Perry never floated my boat (well, musically; she’s quite pleasant to look at), but I still listen to Ke$ha’s stuff.

I like Ke$ha too, at least some of her stuff. I don’t know why. I know it isn’t good. But I like it anyway.

Warrior is now available to stream on iTunes, a week ahead of its official release. (The deluxe edition, featuring 16 songs instead of 12, isn’t available yet, so I haven’t heard those four remaining songs yet. Something else to look forward to when the CD arrives!)

Here is the list of tracks, followed by my grade. **NOTE: ** if I were to use my standard grading curve that I use for all other music, which I’ll call my San Diego State grading curve, EVERY song on this album would get an A+. Obviously, I’ll need to use a much more stringent grading curve for Ke$ha songs. I’ll call it my Harvard grading curve.

  1. Warrior: C
  2. Die Young: A (this song is already at #3 with a bullet on the Billboard charts.)
  3. C’Mon: B
  4. Thinking Of You: D
  5. Crazy Kids: B
  6. Wherever You Are: C
  7. Dirty Love: A. This song features Iggy Pop and seriously kicks buttocks.
  8. Wonderland: B+
  9. Only Wanna Dance With You: B. I already have a demo version of this song with different lyrics.
  10. Supernatural: B-
  11. All That Matters (The Beautiful Life): C+
  12. Love Into The Light: C. The beat is reminiscent of “In the Air Tonight.”
  13. Last Goodbye: haven’t heard yet
  14. Gold Trans Am: haven’t heard yet
  15. Out Alive: haven’t heard yet
  16. Past Lives: haven’t heard yet

That video is gold. One of my favorites.

Same.

I’m not a fan of that particular song but I do like Ke$ha in general. Which album was Bootycall on? I highly recommend it.

Perhaps y’all have an opinion on this article a friend posted on my facebook wall. I thought it was an interesting look at her music although I have some reservations about hitting the slutty=empowerment note quite so hard. I like the idea of the album being called Warrior, though.

It has never been officially released. I also highly recommend it. It gets an A+ on my standard San Diego State grading curve, and a C+ on my Harvard grading curve.
